-Summer Rose-
It took a while for her husband and daughter to calm down, while they were at it, her eldest daughter Yang also saw her and reacted exactly the same as Ruby and Tai, however, she still has no idea what is going on!
After more than 10 minutes of crying and hugging, they finally stopped or at least mostly, they are still hugging her though.
"So, what exactly is happening? Why did you guys start crying when you all saw me? It's like you saw a dead person coming back to life or something." Summer didn't know how accurate that description was.
Tai wiped the tears from his face with his hand and answered. "Because we thought that you were dead."
"Huh..? But that's ridiculous I know I haven't seen you guys for a week, but-"
"Summer, what are you talking about?"
"W-what..?" Summer looked at her husband's confused look.
"It's been a month and a week since we last saw each other," Tai answered while looking her directly in the eyes.
"H-huh?!" Summer was stunned by the unexpected information, there's no way that it's possible, she was only out for a week and-
Wait, she realized something and thought. 'Is this because of the shop? It's an entirely different universe, so it makes sense that time there moves differently than in my world.'
That realization didn't really make her feel better, instead, she was more shocked than anything, imagine if she stayed there for a day, or even longer.
She shuddered to imagine what would have happened to her family, as this was something she failed to take into account.
"After a month without contact with you, you were declared missing in action, and everyone thought you were dead, yesterday we just finished your funeral, you know that?" Her husband said depressingly.
"Oh…" Summer didn't know what to make of this, she didn't think she'd be declared as M.I.A, she felt really complicated right now.
"Summer, where the hell have you been all this time?" Tai asked with a concerned yet serious expression.
"Well…this is going to take a while to explain…I promise I'll explain everything to you but first of all you should drink something warm first."
"Summer it's not the tim-" Before he could finish his sentence, she cut him off.
"No, do it or else I won't explain what happened."
And that was final, since she won't be taking 'no' for an answer, Tai and their daughters looked at each other and decided to follow their wife/mother's instructions.
—
Several minutes later, the family was now sitting at the table with a mug of hot coffee and milk.
Tai took a sip of his coffee, and let out a sigh, he never thought that he needed this right now, maybe his wife suggested it wasn't all bad.
After a few sips of his coffee, finally he decided to ask. "So, where were you this entire time? What happened?"
Summer closed her eyes for a bit and replied. "Well, this might sound unbelievable and ridiculous but trust me, this is truly what happened to me."
Tai nodded, along with their children though they were struggling to understand what was going on, however, it hardly matters as what's important is that they have their mommy's back.
Then Summer started explaining first about the mission first, and how it ended. It started with the usual, killing Grimm and all, however, it got tense in the middle and the end was worse.
It took a great amount of willpower, not to break the mug in his hand after hearing those bastards almost successfully killing his wife.
Veins popped out from his neck, he was angry, but he held it back because he didn't want to lash out in front of their children, traumatizing them as a result.
After that, his wife's story started to take a strange turn, about a stranger saving her life despite how bad her injury was, don't get him wrong he was grateful for what that stranger did to Summer, however healing someone who is essentially half-dead, was something amazing not to mention that it only took a little bit of a few hours for his wife to recover.
What kind of amazing healing semblance does this person have to heal someone who is a step away from the grave?
Then, an unexpected surprise happened.
"It was magic."
Tai blinked a few times before replying. "Pardon..?"
"I said it was magic, he healed me through magic and not semblance." Summer said.
"Summer, that's ridicu-"
"Ridiculous? I know, however, I did say that you'll find this story unbelievable even now I'm still in disbelief but Tai, however, I saw it with my own two eyes for me not to believe it's real, so are you going to let me continue or I'll just stop here?"
"No, please go on." He wanted her to continue, no matter how ridiculous it may be, he believed his wife because that's his role as her husband.
Summer then continued her explanation that Alex or the shop owner is someone more mysterious and powerful than Ozpin, which made him quite skeptical.
There's someone more mysterious and powerful than Ozpin? That's quite a claim, however, he didn't say anything until.
"Then he told me that his shop location wasn't from any continent in our world nor from our universe…"
"Wait, hold up, did you say that this savior of yours isn't from our universe?"
"That's right." Summer nodded without hesitation.
"I'm sorry Summer, but I don't think I can believe that, the magic part was already ridiculous but the existence of another universe is unbelievable," Tai said while shaking his head.
"Well, I can't blame you either because I didn't believe it at first until I witnessed that the shop was floating in space, which certainly wasn't an illusion."
"Even if you say tha-"
"I know…I know that's why I have proof, I mentioned that the place is a shop right?" Summer said.
"Yeah, you mentioned that it was." Tai was still skeptical about the entire thing, however, he'll give her the benefit of doubt.
If she can show proof, then he'll believe her.
"Wait here, I'll go get what I bought there." Summer immediately went to get whatever she bought in that shop, she mentioned.
And it didn't take her long to come back, and he saw one of the gift boxes is a head taller than her, he couldn't help but be worried that she might be struggling or something. He tried to stand up and help her carry that large box, however, she stopped his attempt. "It's fine, it doesn't weigh that much."
Tai was skeptical but he listened to her anyway, then he saw her put the large box along with the other smaller boxes on the table.
Ruby was excited to see these gift boxes in front of her, and Yang was no different; she's as excited as her sister.
"So, this is the proof you mentioned?"
"That's right, each of these boxes except for one, contained weapons from different universes." Summer said and then looked at Ruby with a warm smile. "Ruby, why don't you take that big box? It's yours, mommy bought it for you personally."
With the excitement that no one could contain, little rose immediately grabbed the gift box and carried it away like it was nothing.
Tai's eyes widened at the sight of her little girl carrying a box as big as him without any effort at all, he couldn't help but look at his wife and said. "Are you sure that it has something inside?"
"Yes, I'm sure you'd be surprised." His wife smiled mysteriously at him, then saw her give the second largest gift box to Yang, who was pouting at her gift box.
Tai could instantly understand her daughter, as he knew she was jealous that Ruby got something bigger than her.
In his personal experience, it doesn't really matter if the gift is bigger or not, however, Yang is a kid so it's understandable that she too, wanted a bigger gift box.
Then he saw his little rose unwarped by the gigantic gift box, out of curiosity he took a peek at what was inside and saw it definitely surprised him.
It was a beautifully designed red scythe, but that wasn't the reason why he was surprised, the real reason is that this box containing this scythe shouldn't be that light!
From its appearance alone it weighs about 100 kg or more, so how exactly is it so light that his 5 years old daughter could carry it like nothing?!
Ruby grabbed the scythe and raised it above effortlessly, admiring it with her two big silver eyes.
'How is that possible?!' Then he saw her eldest daughter unwarped her gift, unlike little rose scythe, her's was a gauntlet which wasn't surprising that his wife bought them.
However, the size of the gauntlet is adult-size there's no way it would be able to fi-
Tai's eyes widened as he witnessed the gauntlet shrinking to a perfect size as his eldest hands.
"What?!" He couldn't stop himself from shouting in surprise, then he noticed his wife looking at him smugly and said.
"Told you, magic."
And at that moment no matter how ridiculous it may be, he believed his wife's story.
