All she could say

She wanted to scream and yell but all she could say was "I'm fine," why was she feeling this way? It's because she had met her uncle. Her uncle was a horrible human being. She could still remember the times when he would say truly unkind things to her. She met him in the store. She was separated from her mom and he came up to her and started talking to her. Like he hadn't done anything wrong to her when he was the reason her sister changed so much. She clenched her hands but didn't show how mad she was.

She truly despised him, and he didn't like her any more than she did. In fact he probably disliked her more than she disliked him. He must of noticed that she was in a bad mood because he discreetly smirked. However she saw him smirking. This just irritated her even more. Then he had the audacity to ask if she was okay. "I'm fine just tired" she replied to his question, which was obviously not sincere. She wanted to punch him so bad but she restrained herself.

After they parted she started cursing at him in her head. She went home in a bad mood but decided not to waste anymore time on that guy. It was time to chill and eat a snack while watching something. She decided to have popcorn. Popcorn was the best in her opinion after all. After she was done with that she decided to go on her phone and read when she got a text. It was from her friend. It read 'thank you for everything I hope you can recover unlike me. Today is the day where I die. Don't be sad because I simply couldn't handle this life. Be happy because I can finally go home'

She looked at the text message wide eyed and had to read it a second time to fully understand. She clenched her teeth and silently cried. 'No! This can't be real! My only online friend is gone. He even went to my school. Now he doesn't. Why? It's unfair! Why does he get to die!?' She was so distraught but she tried to calm herself down. 'This is what I get for making friends with someone who wants to die.'

She called her mom to tell he what happened. Her mom answered and asked her what was wrong. "Ah well… my friend just committed…suicide" her mom was shocked. She hurriedly asked if she was fine and needed her to come to the house. Truth is the girl did want her ti come to the house, but she didn't want to bother her mom so she just lied and said "it's okay, I'm fine we weren't that close anyway." After the call ended she cried and cried until no tears would come out. She exhausted herself and fell asleep.

When she woke up an hour had passed by. She lied there, on her bed thinking about her wonderful friend. She remembered so many memories that she had with him. He was funny, caring, and really kind. 'Why couldn't I have done more to prevent this?'
