A Dream

Zeno visited Archimedes that day from the mountains. They were silent for a majority of the time. Archimedes was visibly shaken from the vision that he had got that night. He looked at Zeno and wondered, why was he quiet. He was never quiet. Perhaps, he wondered. Zeno was about to talk something. Hera came in and sat besides them. She too felt the tension that was there in that room. Perhaps, let me break the ice in the room, she thought. How are the mountains and everyone there? she enquired. All good, just empty without the both of you, he replied. He looked at Archimedes and for an instant his eyes flashed dark green. Zeno had a surprised look on his face. IT was true, then, he exclaimed. What was true? asked Hera. The visons, he replied. What vision? she was getting curious. You had the same vision too? asked Archimedes.

Yes, he replied. Did you figure out who the large man was. The one who jumped on to our chariot, asked Zeno. No, his face was blurred, replied Archimedes. Yes, only his face was blurred. The other peoples faces were clear as the sun.. said Zeno. And the ones that were in the chariot ahead of us, said Zeno as he sat up straight. His eyes grew humble and energetic at the same time. Archimedes too fell silent. Only Hera was super enthusiastic about the narration that was happening between them, even though it was unclear to what was actually being said between them. She had her hands on chin and was eager to hear the story unfold. The energy that they had was not of this world. I have never seen a greater warrior than you, until I saw the two men who rode that chariot. One of them certainly was a god, said Archimedes. Perhaps so, agreed Zeno. The whole field parted for them, it was as if though a lightning hung permanently on the heels of their wheels. It was impossible, said Zeno. Impossible for a mortal, not for a god, replied Archimedes. Who were we and what were we doing on planet earth? asked Zeno. I don't know the answer to that, replied Archimedes. But for certain, I feel a difference in myself, ever since I had those visions. "More powerful" said Archimedes. What about you? asked Archimedes to Zeno. I feel as though as our journey has just started, he replied.
