Push

The door was almost breaking. Arienne, the hylin and her husband pressed against it. They looked R each other helplessly. They tried their best to hold off against the stronger force that was from the other side. She was almost in tears as her husband stood firm. His arm was giving up and his shoulders were bearing the brunt of the might of the stronger hylin. She was now almost in tears now! We can't give up our baby! she bursted out crying. The hylin on the other side were merciless. "Don't cry, you are just wasting your tears" they shouted. Her husband gave it all now. His arms and shoulders broke, yet he stood firm. What do we do? She asked her husband helplessly. He did not speak and did not utter a word. He pressed his face against the door and closed his eyes. Arienne left him to himself and took the baby and ran out of the window. The hylin broke the door down and trampled over him. Yet, he remained silent! He was crushed.

Follow her! Said the hylin as the rest ran after the mother and the baby. Arienne ran as fast as she could. Moving at a very rapid pace. The will to protect her baby gave her immense strength and speed! She outpaced the other hylin by a distance. How is she doing that? They asked between themselves. Now is not the time to talk, run! The hylin said and gathered their pace! But no matter how fast they ran. It was not enough. She ran and ran until she reached the footsteps of the king eared dwarves mountains. They certainly did not welcome her. She looked at the baby! It was smiling. She gathered all the courage she could muster and ran atop the mountains. She removed her masks and wipes her face clean and shut her eyes! Only listening to the rustling of the winds, she treaded. She was almost invisible now.

The rest of the hylin stood in front of the large mountains confused on what to do! What are you waiting for asked the senior hylin. Hunt her! she shouted at them! The Hylin moved fast and fierce onto the mountains searching for her. Arienne closed her babies mouth and ran into the mountains without making much noise. Circle around, instructed the hylin. As the hylin circled around and moved upwards the mountains in a semi circle. Arienne became more and more determined to run to safety. Her baby made some noise but she did not remove her hands from the babies mouth. By now she had developed Ken, the one Thronir had developed. To see without opening her eyes at all! No one had previously developed Ken so fast in its history. Her Ken was so advanced that she could see more brightly with her eyes closed than with her eyes open. The Hylin were wondering how she was so swift.

Light the flames! The Hylin said to the others. The forest was now in flames as the army marched forward. Moving up a path that none had treaded. They made a path that was new to the mountains. But something was wrong. Every time they climbed up, they ended up coming back to the starting point. Only one of the hylins who took the trodden path, she seemed to make any sort of movement. But then even she was no where near the mother hylin and her child! What is happening? they all wondered! Arienne was far enough now from rest of the hylin! She could afford to open her eyes and release her Ken. Her Ken now beautifully developed into a mystical bird of yellow that circled the skies and flew back at the hylin, through the flames. It carried along with it the fire as it attacked the hylin one by one!

Arienne was relieved now as she held her baby in her arms and coddled it. Her baby smiled at her and it was the happiest moment of her life! She held her baby against her breast softly and treaded hard on her foot again! She crossed the caves when once the long eared dwarves lived. And she could have sworned that a pair of eyes peered through the holes of the caves at her. Some sharp yellow eyes that were curious, some were concerned and some were of course angry. She did not look at them at all! She tried to avoid them but their glances felt very real to her. And as she walked ahead up front, and again she could have sworned it was real! A dwarf female warrior looked at her from atop a giant tree wanting to help her! She ignored it and walked furiously forward. Perhaps it was Plomfentin or her is spirit, it could never be really known...

Artemis and Reya met in the same tree that very night in Andora. "There is a planet not far from here" she said. A planet that is covered in darkness, and has no light at all. Reya was surprised and a little sad at the same time! Only darkness, then how do the people live? she asked her. A very hard life, she said. And soon there will be a battle that would require you to fight in. To bring them light? asked Reya. Yes,replied Artemis with a smile. Take some of the dwarves with you. Their kind is who got hurt most in the dearth of light. I know just the right ones! said Reya enthusiastically! Very well, said Artemis as she was about to leave. And the dragon? Asked Reya with a tone of anticipation. My dear child, said Artemis gently stroking her hair. " Like a mother would to that of a daughter" has any war been fought without a dragon?

That night Archimedes pondered the same thought. All he had ever known was a war that had a dragon in it. All great wars had a dragon or there were dragons in its background. A dragon always loomed large in reality or lore. But every time he looked at Ayrovan he was reminded of the was where he was in a chariot and looked like a human. A human birth, a Great War without dragons! he nodded in disappointment. Maybe Earth doesn't have dragons after all, he concluded! By then, the party had assembled. Agrin, Borgin , Thronir, Karmair and a few others waited for their commander to address them! His eyes grew firm again, as it had always been since he was a child. Showing no signs of weakness of fear! He treaded with wind in his feet and courage in his heart as he tried to live so every moment of his life! He knew he would never be able to live up to the image he had of himself, but he could easily live up to the image others had of him. And for now that seemed to be enough!

A fire brews in the mountains of the king eared dwarf! said Thronir. Where must that be?asked Archimedes!
