Getting worse.

The pain surged through her body. She felt as though her veins were melting , her blood was boiling, heart burning like it was dipped in acid. She could no longer endure such pain in silence, so she let it all out. Bowing to her knees she cried in agony, her eyes slowly turning dark. She was changing but it was different this time. Together with the pains she felt, came immerse power . She didn't know what kind power it was but she knew it was something big from the very beginning. She turned into a darker darkness, every living thing around her and even in the distance just died without her even putting any effort in.

The pain in her body wasn't so painful anymore. She stood on her feet with a slight smile " I can return to Manuel and Linda" she said " And after that, I shall destroy those who made me like this. For father and mother". Lily took a step forward, but a sharp pain from her back stopped her right in her tracks. ' What's happening?' she wondered. " Ouch" she muttered placing her right hand on her left shoulder. She felt something growing out of her back. She just stood there enduring the pain of whatever was coming out of her.

After a while, the pain just vanished. She reached out her hand to feel the weighty figure that had grown on her back. ' What in the world? Feathers? What sort of feathers are these? No way! Are these...' amazed, she chuckled, she couldn't believe it. She couldn't believe she just grew wings, it felt strong with unusual feathers or some sort.

Linda and Manuel sat silently in the living not knowing the next step to take, they chose to wait till day break but remain hopeful she would return before then. As time passed by minute by minute, the only sound that could be heard were those of the crickets outside. The candles kept shining their light all over and poof, out of thin air, she appeared in the dinning room. Startled by her appearance, they both recoiled thinking it was a ghost or something. She walked into the living room were they sat and just stared. Seeing Lily the way she was scared them, they tried to compose not to let it show on their faces, but she knew. Somehow, she could sense the fear, it smelled just like the queen of the night. To ease their fear she said to them " Don't be afraid, it's only me", trying to look normal again. Her parents were all so worried. Seeing Lily back home now, they called it a night.
