A Hungry youth

On and on a slender figure walked within this enchanting forest, His long blonde hair bouncing at every step he took. Eradan had stopped at some interval, spotting some areas which were for marking his way back. The youth was already getting tired of constantly walking.

He had been walking for long hours without noticing any sign of livelihood. No sign of animal for prey and streams for water. Pale feets made contact with the earth covered with pink leaves as it's owner kept on with his steps. Despite this challenge, the youth had hope to find food and water.

As Eradan moved on, he got to a point that he lost hope and decided to rest before moving on with his search— Maybe. His eyes darted around in search for something to rest on, and a stone which was quite sizeable for sitting invited him. With passive steps, the youth was seated on the stone; his long hair spread out behind him.

This alluring forest had now begin to exude a hue of golden and pink within the sight of the youth. The former white blossoms were now replaced with golden colours from the rays of sunlight. It was close to eventide. And with few more hours, the dark starry night would approach him, releasing the irksome creatures that were held captive by the rays of sunlight.

With vigilance, the youth kept inspecting his surrounding while he rested. Preparing to flee in case of any absurdity. He also kept wondering what brought the owner of this body to this desolated region. Was he an Anchorite? Now, he was clearly going to end up DEAD after transmigrating.

Eradan kept fretting within himself about the predicament that befallen him. The youth was really hungry and angry that he couldn't think straight. This time around, he had foolishly brought down his guard, thinking that there wasn't a single creature lurking in this forrest since he couldn't even find one to prey on. Well, who wouldn't, after a very long search with no positive result while dying of hunger. He couldn't care more about what was to happen, He was going to die of hunger anyways?

Out of boredom, Eradan cupped his temple with one hand, looks now facing downwards. His other hand was sent to the earth.

A frail index finger trailed itself around on the earth, as a pair of eyes gazed at what it was creating. It formed shapes and lines before tracing and adjoining those shape and lines to each other. Memories came rushing back while Eradan formated this image on the floor.

A pitiful smile graced the youth's lips, as his eyes graced the image his finger had drawn... A Wolf cub. No matter how impassive Eradan tried to be, he could still feel a piece of his heart conserving everything about Aaron. A drop of tear escaped his eye, landing on the image beneath him. Besmearing the dry earth which soaked it up. Then another drop fell. Followed by another. Before the youth could hold himself back, the earth was drenched with drops of tears.

' Good luck with your new lover... Aaron' The youth closed his eyes tightly letting go of his anger, emotions and memories of Aaron likewise getting himself together. He was finally going to start this life afresh, without his parents, siblings or anyone. A chilly breeze came by, comforting the youth of the pain he felt within. It was indeed pacifing.

Unknown to the youth, a snowflake mark had appeared on his forehead glowing a faint blue before disappearing.

'Food search continues' The youth concluded, flashing his eyes open.

At a corner not far from him, a frog greeted his sight. A frog as dark as the night, all corralled with shadows. Yellow Lines gleamed on the slimy body of the frog while it's eyes also shouted... Yellow.

Eradan paused a bit likewise itching his hair. He furrowed his brows in deep thoughts. God had finally blessed him with a meal after his sorrowful disposition. However, wouldn't it be disgusting to feed on this scary creature? Who knows how poisonous it could be?

Gently getting up from his sitting position, the youth slowly and calmly tiptoed towards the frog. Well, he would have to satisfy himself with this feed first. Even though he dies then... Nevermind, he won't die.

Just as the youth was a few steps close to the frog, he steadied himself, ready to pounce on the little creature and grab it.

One... Two... Three!

CROAK !!!

THUD!!

That was the sound of Eradan crashing on the earth as he missed his target. Not to forget, he ate some particles of pink leaves. Damn this creature!

CROAK!!

CROAK!!

Eradan steadied himself again for his second attack while spitting out the leaves he consumed.

"Be a good frog and don't hop while I attack. Ok" He said looking at the frog which only beamed it's eyes at him, croaking. And with another strike...

"What the fuck! You little..." He crashed on the floor again. And again he missed his target. "I'm gonna chop you into sushi pieces if I lay my hands on you"

Night frog: This is getting fun, hehehe. Catch me if you can.

Simultaneously, these two creatures kept repeating the same procedure as the frog kept leading the youth to an unknown region.

At a point, the frog was finally cornered by rows of pink vines tightly close to each other, falling from a tree nearby.

"Done hopping huh?" Eradan sneered as he inched closer towards the night frog which now was now cornered with no place to hop to. "Guess you can't escape from me this time."

Night frog: Waahh... I'm finally going to be a dinner for something.

With a victorious smile on his lips, Eradan darted towards the frog.

RIP!!

The youth had missed his target, bumping into those vines which tore open, and without warning, Eradan had fallen into a passing stream behind those vines.

A slender figure in blue outfit struggled with the restless stream's current as he had not expected a stream to be nearby. But then again, due to the fact that he learnt how to swim at a tender age, he barely countered the current, swimming his way to the other side of the stream. This body was really worthless!

Tall lush green coniferous trees from the other side of the stream embraced him as he came out of the stream, his outfit all wet and muddy. His rapunzel hair dripping continously.

Just as the youth was on his feets, bubbling joy erupted within Eradan at his current finding. He walked towards an area with lesser tide and like a dog, began to lap this sparkling bluish green water of the stream. Gulping it's content hurriedly like it was going to finish.

Eventually, the youth became satisfied with the amount of aqua he had taken. It was time to find something to eat. He was about to go, when he spotted an image within the water body before him.

"..."

At first, Eradan thought it was one of those stupid stuffs he saw back then in his previous world, especially in his restroom —Those aquamarine eyes and stuffs. However, taking a close look at the image, the youth was shocked with what he discerned... Was that? Wait, Was that him? Woah! That was Him!

"Holy shit?" Eradan was bewildered at the over attractive image before him. He sent his palms to his face to know if the image would do the same, and hell... It repeated his action. That was truly him.

This face of his was really seducing with its features. Those coy, plump and juicy red lips made him feel like tasting them. His pointed nose and well arched eyebrows, looking like the work of a renowned artist. The youth's long fluttering black lashes were also noticed.

But overall these, one couldn't be missed... Those bewitching blue eyes exquisitely placed in their socket. Those dazzling eyes could enstrap someone at a single gaze.

With all this features, Eradan couldn't help but accept this face. At least it still had a little bit masculinity with the thick brows. He might as well just be a Narciss—

A sound erupted...

The youth's belly growled reminding him that he hadn't satisfied it with food. Eradan was quite grateful that one problem was solved it was just this one remaining... Food.

Eradan got up from his position and directed himself into the forest behind him, his alert all up. Who knows, he could find something edible there.

Blue eyes looked at the sky, noticing the dim illumination it released. It was already eventide, The youth concluded.  He would have to be fast in finding what to eat.

Moving deeper into the heart of this niche, he arrived at a vegetation filled with low spear grasses.

"..."

Eradan heard a rustling sound from a grass not far from where he was. He tried to ignore it, but it became more persistent making him curious to find out the cause.

With slow and careful steps, the youth approached that region, only for him to discover that it was a Hare. Wait! They were actually two Hares. Eradan had never felt happy than he had felt at this moment. He immediately bundled those creatures and began to retrace his steps.

Afterwards, Eradan had travelled his way back to cave, made fire and roasted his meal. Who knew that all those camping he had attended in his tenth grade would come in handy.

Night had finally arrived, beautifying the sky with ethereal moons and stars. The youth devoured his meal hurriedly and headed into the cave. He was too sleepy-eyed not to notice the heap of dead birds within that cave.

Eradan walked towards a corner within this cave and laid down, curling himself. Eyelids closed, covering a pair of blue eyes as the owner fell into deep slumber...
