Twick!
A twig was snapped into two as white heels of a boot stepped on it. The ground covered in uneven leaves made scrunchy sounds on their movement.
Raniel Elander and his minions made their way back to the main town, since most orphans lived at it's outskirt. Raniel's minions could have been the one's passing out the information but rather, he decided to do it himself. It was the perfect opportunity to pick on poor orphans... Something he was definitely good at.
The crew chattered as they made their way back to town. Discussing about the last orphan he had bullied. The Amber haired one.
" How amusing it was, watching him suppress his petty anger." One of his minions said and they broke out in laughter— their voices quite loud.
"Did you see his fidgeting limbs, maybe he hadn't eaten for days..." Another spoke up and they chuckled again.
"Definitely! What else could he do? He doesn't stand a chance against me? A mere foundling he is." Raniel said with shoulders raised. Compliment from his minions went way into his head.
"With his scrawny yellow hair and eyes... Hahaha" They all laughed merrily.
Ruffling sounds came from a bush nearby taking them aback... What was that?
Grips on swords tightened, while the other fist were wrapped around the head of their sword. They all became alert and cautious. Raniel, the frontier took steps backward, shoving two minion of his forward.
SCRUSH!
SCRUSH!
The raffling bush didn't seem to stop even as they inched closer. Raniel, despite his sharp tongue, was a scaredy cat. An He-elf with no ballz. He unknowingly wrapped his arm around one of his minion behind, stunning the latter. What was this noble doing?
Maybe they overheard them and were coming to kill him. Or maybe that was a trap!? No matter what, Raniel and his minions were however feeling wary of their environment. They hadn't gotten to town yet.
"Who's there? Whoever cowardly being you are... Come out!" One of the minions in front boldly said, unsheathing his sword.
" Show yourself!" Another followed.
Raniel's limb unknowingly tightened when a figure suddenly exited from the rustling bush. He watched this figure with long blonde hair straighten up.
Blue eyes of a certain youth watched this casts before him, gently memorizing their detailed features. So this were the elfs that mocked Andrew? He wasn't doing this because of Andrew but to work on their ratty arrogant behavior. And also for the sake of Robin.
Although this wasn't his business, but he couldn't stand it. Bullies needed to be dealt with.
" Ha! it's another foundling, an attractive one at that." Eradan watched one of the men take few steps forward. Light rays from the clean silver sword flashed on his ocean eyes. "Or maybe not."
"She's really a beauty. Can't wait to have her scream beneath me" Another said sheathing his sword." Come here beauty." Eradan watched the figure approach him.
" Stop!..." Raniel was out from his cowering position now striding foward, regally.
"She's mine." He came to a halt. "Isn't it dear?"
Isn't what? Were they seriously arguing on who to sleep with him or something? Eradan cringed.
"Hmm" Eradan watched the individual in white resume his step and fully approached the youth. The other began encircling him, likewise scrutinizing his features. It made the youth uncomfortable but that was part of his plan.
"Why would such a beauty like you exist without my knowledge?" He heard and snorted. His side eyes awaiting the individual to come to view.
"Such long hair." The white clothed man was right in front of him, strands of his hair within his grip. The other's eyes were keen on the blonde lush hair before directing themselves to his face. Strands of hair straightened as they were dropped "How about a quick make out... Eh!"
A wicked grin graced pink lips, while blue eyes blinked lewdly.
"That would be a yes..." How unfortunate of this man to fall for that. Raniel's lips were out in a pouty form drawing closer to land and feel his lips. He was already Midway on achieving what he wanted when an unearthly sound erupted. Birds flew into the sky, while Raniel's minions were astonished!
"Ugh!" Raniel's palms carressed his red, flaming cheek. Did this lady just slap him... How humiliating! Raniel tried as hard as he could to ease the pain but it seemed unquenchable. It was severely blazing with immense heat. How fierce was her palm?
"You... You..." His face reddened in consuming rage making the lips of a certain youth curl in satisfaction. Raniel's red face darted to his minions "Beat her up and bring her!"
"Yes young master!" They all replied, still shocked and perplexed. Raniel took steps backwards while his minions waltzed past him, aiming to beat the lady who dared to raise her filthy hand on their master. Who did she think she was to do that?
Eradan waltzed himself backwards creating more distances between himself and those individuals that were close to attacking him. A smirk appeared on his lips as he came to a halt. It stunned those individuals with what they saw. She was... She was... An ice Wielder!
Realisations were enough to make them draw out their swords but rather, it came late. Four orbs of chilling ice were hauled right at each of them.
Chills...
Raniel was dumbfounded!
He watched his minions struggle in sheer grief as layers of pure ice glued their feets to the floor. This feminine figure was horrendous! A captivating but terrifying cast!
"You... You... What have you done you poor creep?" He cursed in mixed feeling. Feeling of both fear and anger. While he rained curses at the youth, one of his minions drawed his attention.
"Young master please save us."
Raniel's lips trembled while his fist clenched. He watched the gross sight of ice unhurriedly enclosing his members. Gently wrapping them like glittering ice statues. His heart palpitating rapidly.
"Release them now or you'll be reported to my father, the Noble of this town. He'll definitely grill you to death." He said. A warning tone noticed.
" Yes! Release us or you would be sorry you didn't." A minion accompanied.
A mild scoff. " What if I don't?" Eradan's blue eyes glued on the blabbering man. It indeed felt refreshing to be in charge of something. To be the oppressor, although he wasn't a big fan of it... It was just a quick payback which might escalate.
"Then get ready to be—" words were cut short within Raniel as two orbs of pure ice were hauled at him. Instantly, A perfect circle of long pointy ice were around him. Trapping him in between. It was menacing despite it's alluring glimmer.
Beads of sweat, trail like made their way on the back of this Noble. Ending up within his butt cheek while some got soaked in his white garment.
Tick!
A bead of sweat on his nose fell on one of those pointy ice that surrounded him. He gulped. His eyes darted to the individual who approached him gently.
"Dane!"
Steps came to a halt while blonde long hair swayed in time just as the youth turned. Andrew?
With few more steps the Amber haired individual was right beside him. Panting like one that had his lungs blocked for a long period of time.
"Dane... why did you... lea..." Andrew trailed off as he spotted something. Or rather, someone.
"... What is going on?"
Both eyes of his and Raniel's locked on each other while his mind was really puzzled on what was happening. The atmosphere graced an uncomfortable silence.
"Just a few attitude correction." Eradan replied nonchalantly.
Amber eyes gleamed in awe but the feeling disappeared just as it appeared. A glint of remorse flashed through Andrew's eyes... He shouldn't have done that. Raniel was a noble. Although a lower one. Despite the fact that Andrew felt an ocean of happiness on what he was seeing but he couldn't just bring himself to support it. Dane might've wanted to pay back for them but... Sighs.
"Dane release them." Andrew voiced out. Calmly and softly. Eradan turned towards him.
"... I can't. Haven't learnt how to thaw them yet." He replied. His face like an innocent little puppy who didn't do anything wrong. He just wanted to check out his ability on a few more individuals. Unfortunately, they were the exact speck he needed... Welp!
Fingers pinched the bridge between Andrew's brow "Bloody heavens..."
Raniel, the onlooker and his minions watched the scene before them. Quite amused and also angry. Were they both couple or something?
"Get me out of here you—"
"Curtail your words! Noble! Especially in conditions like this." Andrew interrupted the noble who despite his current position wanted to make a fuss. Raniel was stumped and speechless.
On the other hand, Eradan walked towards the frozen minions who only had their head free. Lips pale while cloud of mists exited their lips and nostrils.
A gentle touch on the pillars of ice...
CREAK!
CRACK!
Ice formed shards then shattered into tiny pieces, glittering as they fell. Eradan was stunned!
"Haaah" They all gasped, knees gracing leafy floor. A few coughed while the rest shivered due to the immense cold their body accumulated.
"Thank you Miss." They all muttered one after the other as each took to their heels... Different directions could serve. Raniel was now left alone. He gulped again. Nervously. Those unfilial followers of his... Argh!
"Shouldn't he be left here" Eradan said, his tone mocking.
"Yes he should." Andrew, getting the hint, joined.
What? No! The look on Raniel's face was an epic sight. "Please don't. I beg of you... Please don't." How funny it was to watch this 'Noble' beg for his life... Amusing!
Creak! He's was shattered and he fleed without looking back.
"You're welcome." Eradan turned to face Andrew who's eyes had never left him.
" Is something wrong?" He asked.
"Nothing." Andrew was back from his trance "let's go home..."
★★★★★★★★★
"Where are they taking Robin to... And why?" Eradan asked just as he walked into their home. Andrew followed up, the door shut behind him.
Blue eyes of Eradan's were now on Andrew's amber ones. An itch behind his ears. Andrew was most likely bothered by how close they were. Maybe he was the one reading meaning into it.
"Let's go sit down and I will tell you."
Two chairs not far away welcomed them both into their bosoms as they sat down. "Now, speak." That was Eradan.
Andrew cleared his throat and started" They are taking him to Hopran... An elven sanctuary for orphans. This is a tradition in our elven region. It is believed to be a process of purification for orphans... like me."
Eradan listened with rapt attention quite dazed on the strangeness of their culture. "What sort of purification is it about?... I can't help but be curious with the abomination word I heard earlier."
Face straightened and impassive although hints of rage could be spotted, Andrew answered, "Purification from our abominated nature as said. We orphans are seen as childhood murderers, killers, especially when little. We are believed to have murdered our parents hence being an abomination that is why purification are made..."
His amber eyes focused on Eradan's " To clean us of our abominations."
Eradan was stupefied! What sort of garbage was that?! He wanted to probe more about it but Andrew who noticed more questions brewing to be asked quickly spoke up.
"You asked earlier for a Cupid didn't you?"
Definitely! A certain youth was brought back to the previous thought he almost forgot about. "Yes... I did. My 'almost' killer mentioned that before we fought." He answered giving to Andrew's choice. Bro changing topic...
Andrew was glad that he succeeded in changing the topic. Answering those questions were digging up his past memories which he totally wanted to erase and forget about.
"How did he say it? Who was called the Cupid?"
Andrew's literal amused face made Eradan narrow his eyes. Somewhat uncomfortable. Something soo off was lingering around....
"I was called the Cupid... And..."
