Chapter 17.2

The two’s target finally thrashed its way back to its feet, its roaring maw flecked by molten flames as the fur covered portions of its back began to burn. With a snap of its large jaws, the wyvern lobbed a roiling ball of flame at the two, Syr blowing it aside with a quick swing of her staff as wind burst from the jewl, sending upwards and detonating it with a follow-up firebolt.

As flecks of fire rained down, Soren dashed ahead as the Ardensden charged, meeting it head on and slamming his blade down onto the beasts head as he went to ram them. His blade’s edge dug right into the thick scales, drawing blood even as Soren was sent skidding back. With a roar, the beast flung its head up, tossing Soren into the air.

The Ardensden began to spin around, the flames ebbing from its back coursing back along its tail as it aimed to slam the thick limb into the descending Soren.
