Chapter 17.3

A month had passed since the hunt for the “Shadow” at the Zenith Frontier. Since then, things had all but quite returned to how they used to be for Soren. But really, how could they? With the full awakening of his Crest and now partnering up with Syr now that she was herself a High Ranked Freelancer, his old status quo was well and truly changed.

His solo jobs were all but a thing of the past, with Syr now an all too regular second on whatever jobs they’d started taking in the month since. Whether it was hunting or investigating things out in the plains, though they’d had yet to take a job that left the bounds of Laguna, for now anyway.

But, time for a break wasn’t quite on the two even after that latest hunt.

No sooner had the two returned to the guild that they’d been called up to the building’s meeting room.
