35: Mission at The Lord's Mansion V

"Connected? How so?" The guard Asked ad they walked ahead.

"It happened that their blind Son-in-law whom they consider a good fot nothing trash has some special luck origin. That their son-in-law whom they maltreat as they wish is someone who brings luck. Nothing magical or so, Just superstitiously lucky." Young Master Myles explained with a smile as they moved.

"Oh, so apparently he's a lucky gem to the family who has brought endless luck upon them? Leading to their riches and fame?" The guard asked as Myles nodded " Oh, how's that not magical then?"

Young Master Myles shocked his head "It's not magical I guess. But perhaps a blessing from the heavens. It Seems he was blessed by the heavens with good luck. And that blessing is leading him one." He explained further.

"Woah, That's fascinating..How then do you know about all these? Did you perhaps investigate about it behind my back?" The guard demanded.

"I don't think I know either. I guess I'm lucky at guessing " Young Master Myles smiled as they arrived at their destination.

It was the backside of the mansion.. Apparently the place where they had locked up Their son-in-law. The same place where the slaughtering happened on that faithful night.

As Young Master Myles arrived at the scene, he couldn't help but stroll through the area.. There were no dead bodies around but there were some blood stains around.

"What's with all these blood?" the guard inquired, but Myles walked into the store room without looking at him.

Young Master Myles strolled through the room looking around. It was as if he was struggling to sense out something. But to no avail.

Then he slowly bent down and Looked around the room Once again..But nothing..

He sighed " That's strange..." He mumbled to himself with his eyes still running through the place.

"Did you find anything?" The guard had asked as soon as he walked into the room "Do you sense anything?"

Young Master Myles hesitated before he sighed, looking up at the guard " I think I do sense something..."

"You do? What's it?" The guard got curious.

And then Myles hesitated again " It's strange that although I have a bad feeling about something here. I feel like there's something off about it and something buried within...But at the same Time there's something keeping me from confirming my feeling" He expressed.

The guard was basically confused" What do you mean by that?" He inquired.

"Demon energy..." Young Master Myles expressed in a more clear sense. "I think that I feel some demon energy around here..but at the same time there's something preventing me from being sure if It's demon energy or not"

Young Master Myles sighed as he got up to his feet" With that, I don't think it's possible to confirm my feeling about it and speculation"

"You mean.. There's a possibility that the Demon Patriarch is behind all this?" The guard inquired as Myles simply shrugged.

"It's just a wild Guess of mine" Young Master Myles said " But there seems to be some truth buried deep within this presumption"

They had finally arrived at the Kan mansion. The mansion of the ruler of the city which was pretty much vast and luxurious like a a palace.

Well it presumably was a minor Palace.

The New general and some group of soldiers had dragged Ares directly into the prison house where they threw him into a prison where he was all alone.

They watched him fall to the floor inside the dirty prison room.

The General smiled in content as he stared at Ares getting up to his feet. "You're finally where you should be Inside this filthy prison room"

Ares staggered to his feet with a smile as he looked up at the General" Is that so? Then you must be feeling good about yourself.. Congratulations on your achievement!"

The General frowned "Just shut up and sit still, don't annoy me the more" He expressed and was about to turn.

"Lord Kan isn't interested in me or this case, he original didn't take interest in This... I wonder how you managed to convince him to take a lead in fulfilling your grudge"

The General had stopped as he slowly Turned to look at Ares who was simply smiling like a fool.

Rasing an eyebrow, the general signaled the other soldiers to leave. And they did. Then he looked at Ares.

"Aren't I right?" Ares repeated, with a smile that simply annoyed The General.

"Yeah..You are.. You're hundred percent right at what you said. Originally I had told Lord kan about the Death of his General, But he wouldn't take it seriously. He ignored it and simply called for a beneficial burial "

The General smiled". But that's Simply unfair! How can the case simply end with a simple burial when the murderer is roaming around freely..No, I took it upon myself to convince and manipulate my way to making him agree to my terms"

The General Smirked.
