Dungeon break (6)

After taking care of the Goblin Emperor and the Red Ogre, all of the S Rankers looked around as if they were looking for something.

When they couldn't find the thing that they were looking for, all of them turned their attention to Ryu and the other hunters.

For Ryu and the other hunters, these S Rank Hunters were their idols and they were celebrities that they normally could never meet. Even an A Ranker like Ryu found it hard to meet these S Rankers since they were people that only worked with their own guild or other S Rankers.

A freelance A Ranker like Ryu wasn't qualified to meet these S Rankers at all.

So seeing all of them gathered here in front of him like this really was like a dream.

After all, these S Rankers were also his idols.

He had always dreamed about meeting them and becoming one of them one day, but now he knew just how big the gap between them was.

The Goblin Emperor that had taken his arm with just a single throw of the spear was blown away in an instant by these S Rankers. It wasn't even considered an enemy in their eyes, it was nothing more than an ant that they easily squashed.

He knew that no matter how hard he trained, he would never be able to make up for this kind of gap.

It was a gap that was determined by natural talent, a gap that couldn't be crossed with effort alone.

This filled his heart with disappointment and depression, but at the very least, he was happy that he was able to meet his heroes.

As for those heroes of his…When they looked at him, they immediately rushed over and grabbed him by the shoulders as they all asked him different questions. But based on what he could hear, it seemed like they were asking about the same thing.

They all seemed to be asking about a girl named "Maria".

Not that he knew this girl in the first place.

So Ryu could only awkwardly answer, "I don't know if this person is here, but if they are, they should be at the camp that we've set up."

Then without hesitation, all of the S Rankers grabbed a different person and had them lead them to the camp.

Behind them, they had completely forgotten about the dungeon core that laid there on the ground.

It was a good thing that there were still the hunters that were left that remembered it.

Of course, they didn't dare break it since they weren't the ones that cleared the dungeon. Stealing a dungeon clear like this from S Rankers, that was no different from committing suicide.

So they held onto the dungeon core and followed the S Rankers back to camp.

It was just too bad that they were too fast.

Maria had been alone at the side of the camp.

As she sat there waiting for the hunters to finish clearing this dungeon, she couldn't help thinking about the strange cat that she had met. It almost felt like there was a strange connection between them, so she couldn't help wondering if she should have picked it up and brought it back with her.

But it was already too late and the only thing that she could do was regret not acting sooner.

However, to her surprise, she noticed that there were sounds coming from beside her.

Her first reaction was that there was some monster that had snuck up on the camp, so she pulled out the little knife that Guang Liang had given her.

But that knife quickly came down when she saw who it was that came over to her.

It was the little cat from before, but this time, it wasn't alone.

When it arrived, it was riding on the back of a little wolf. This wolf had pure white fur and piercing blue eyes, the complete opposite of this little cat with its black fur and red eyes.

However, the way that they looked…It was as if this little wolf was completely submissive to this cat.

When the cat saw Maria standing there, it jumped off the back of the white wolf and immediately ran over to Maria, jumping into her arms.

Maria was surprised to see that the cat was back, but she happily took it in her arms and enjoyed the soft feeling that came from its fur. However, she then turned her attention to the little white wolf that was standing on the side.

While it was small, it was still a wolf in the end and it had quite sharp teeth from what she could see.

It didn't seem hostile at first glance, but that could all change in an instant.

For a wolf to appear in this dungeon, it was clear that it was a monster.

So the strange thing was how did this cat ride atop of this wolf like this?

Could it be that it really was like her suspicions? Could it be that this cat really was…a monster as well?

Seeing the wolf act this way, the cat suddenly narrowed its eyes to look at the wolf.

When it looked at the wolf like this, the wolf immediately felt a mountain like pressure fall on it. It was almost as if it would be crushed at any moment by this pressure, so it immediately revealed a submissive stance.

Maria was surprised by this sudden submission from the wolf, but she could see that it didn't mean any harm towards her. So she slowly reached her hand out towards the wolf in a sign of friendship.

The wolf saw this and was about to reach out to lick her hand to show its submission, but then it felt a different feeling.

As Maria's hand came closer and closer, it felt like it was getting closer and closer to death.

If Maria wanted to, it was as if she could snap its neck without any effort. That was the feeling that the wolf got from her.

The wolf couldn't take it anymore as the hand came closer and closer, so it fell onto its back and raised all four of its limbs into the air. It quickly lowered its ears as much as possible, while also tucking its tail between its legs.

The wolf didn't hesitate at all to take the ultimate stance of submission that it knew.

That was how desperate it was to live!

Maria's hand froze when she saw this, but then she couldn't help breaking out in laughter. She laughed for a bit longer before lowering her hand down to rub the wolf's stomach as she said, "So silly, but it's also cute."

Then as she rubbed the stomach, she suddenly narrowed her eyes.

The wolf had relaxed a bit when it felt her rubbing its stomach as it knew that it had just weathered the storm, but then it felt like it was being crushed again when she narrowed her eyes.

It started whimpering as she just stared at it without saying a word.

Finally, Maria brought her other hand down and started rubbing this wolf all over its belly.

Feeling her hand going to town on its belly, the wolf's tense expression relaxed a bit as it realized that Maria wasn't going to do anything to it. Then as Maria rubbed it all over, it suddenly felt the joy and comfort of being rubbed by her like this.

It started moving its body and rubbing up against her palm, doing its best to give her as much enjoyment as possible.

There was a trace of envy that appeared in the eyes of the cat when it saw this, but that quickly disappeared. The reason that it had brought the wolf along was because it felt that it would make Maria happy with its fluffy fur, so it should be happy seeing Maria like this.

But it also couldn't help feeling a trace of envy seeing this.

Maria on the other hand was filled with joy as she enjoyed the feeling that came from her hand.

This was a different feel from the cat, but it wasn't a bad feeling. This wolf had very soft fur, but it was a different feeling from the fur of the cat.

Before she could come up with a solution though, there were multiple voices that suddenly rang out through the camp.

When she heard those voices, she couldn't help revealing a bitter smile since she had already guessed what was going to happen.

Then before she could do anything, there were a bunch of people that suddenly rushed over to where she was standing.

Naturally these were the S Rankers that had charged into the dungeon to save her.
