Never You Ask My Love Anything

Loveth did not wait for Alex to say something before she thundered, after seeing that much of Alex's wine spilled on her legs and very short skirt.

"You better come and clean this place." Loveth quickly went away and climbed the stairs to her bedroom. While Elisa turned and went to the kitchen to look for something to clean the wine on the floor.

Alex sat down and waited for Elisa to come back to the sitting room. After some minutes, he stood up and went towards the kitchen. He found a nervous Elisa coming out of the kitchen with empty hands.

"I'm sorry Sir," she greeted with her hands on her back and she quickly looked at the floor.

"Come, let me take you to the laundry room. This is James' work, but let me assist you. In the laundry room, you can find something to clean the floor."

His voice was like a drop of water on the surface of a calm sea and Elisa felt relief at once.

"I'm sorry Sir," she said again.

"It wasn't your fault. But next time, you need to be careful." They both went into the laundry room and Alex watched her as she looked for suitable material to clean the floor.

Both Elisa and Alex went back to the sitting room and she cleaned the floor and picked the broken glasses.

"Be careful with your hand. I hope you are putting on hand gloves?"

"Yes Sir," her beating heart went normal and Alex watched her as she diligently cleaned the floor. After mopping the crystal floor, she stood erect and wanted to go.

"You said you needed an apron. Hmm… James is not yet back. He will be the one to take you around."

"Okay Sir." She walked away. When Elisa was almost close to the kitchen, Alex quickly said,

"Let me show you." He stood up and Elisa waited for him.

"I wish my former boss was quite considerate like this man, he wouldn't have fired me," she thought. Alex followed her to the kitchen and opened one of the cabinets. There were a bunch of arranged aprons of different colors.

"You can pick your preferred color."

Elisa smiled and her heart was really adjusted from fear. She bent down and picked a pink apron. Alex watched her as she wore it. Elisa thought he was looking at her if he was wearing it well. Alex smiled at her as he was about to leave the kitchen.

"Sir," she paused and it was finding it very difficult to speak out. Alex saw his resumed nervousness and she pressed her toes against the floor.

"I'm the boss of this house. Why are you afraid to express yourself? You are free to tell me anything concerning you and anything bordering you."

Elisa waited and took a deep breath before saying,

"I wanted to ask if you injured your hand?"

Alex smiled at her, but felt that wasn't why she called him.

"Is anything bordering you?" He walked closer to her and there were tears out of her eyes.

"What's happening?" He replaced his casual smile with some level of seriousness.

"My mom is sick and I need some money. I was wishing you could pay me upfront, I will work for it. I want to send the money to my mom to take care of herself."

"Is that a problem? Don't worry, if James comes back, I will tell him what to do. Feel free to tell me whatever you need."

"Thank you Sir," she replied and Alex took a step closer and used his right hand to clean her tears. As he came closer, the patchouli's fragrance she had been perceiving became stronger and she sneezed. There was a blackout in her brain and she tried to shift back, to cut off the images of her night of terror. All because of the fragrance she perceived.

Alex thought it was because he touched her cheek and she wasn't comfortable with it.

"I hope all is alright?" He asked. Elisa quickly smiled to ward off her weird attitude.

"Yes, I'm fine Sir," she said. Alex stared at her for a short while and left the kitchen. On his way out of the kitchen, Loveth met Alex who she was looking for and Loveth was wearing different clothes.

"I have been looking for you," she said.

"I'm fine," he answered without a smile and he didn't reduce his pace and his actions showed he wanted to end the conversation. She found the encounter not pleasant, then she entered the kitchen and found Elisa washing the dishes. Loveth walked close to her and asked,

"You knew where the apron was, before coming to disturb and make the wine of my fiance to fall to the ground."

"No, I don't ma," she turned and faced her.

"Then how did you get the apron you are wearing ?" She folded her hands and looked at her.

"The master of the house," she said with a reduced tone.

"Wow… I love the way you said it." Loveth moved closer to her. "What else did he tell you?" She tightened her face. "Why will you stress my darling to come to the kitchen? That's an insult. If you want to stay long in this house, never ask my darling anything. Do you hear me? Ask me or the butler only. Did I make myself clear? This should be the last time I hear you say something like this." She raised her voice and Elisa's face was on the floor.

Loveth stepped away from her and was heading back to the door when she suddenly turned back and said,

"Prepare our breakfast. Leave those dishes. I know my love will be hungry by now. Look," she pointed at the left side of the kitchen. "Check what you will prepare this morning," and she walked away and wobbled her buttocks away. Elisa walked to the wall Loveth pointed and saw the different meals from Monday to Sunday, and she saw what she will prepare for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day of the week. It was Saturday morning, and the meal to prepare was poached eggs with broccoli, tomatoes and wholemeal flatbread. She left the food time table pasted on the wall and started cooking.

While she was cooking, she felt the foot of someone walking into the kitchen, then she quickly turned.
