Chapter 265: Shocked
"Lighting strike!" After decimating one of the water golems, Sabo levitated himself down while carrying Nami.
"Luffy!" called Nami as she landed.
Her Captain turned to look at her.
"Nami? What are you-...."
He froze in shock when he saw the man who was accompanying her.
"Sabo?!" he said with disbelief.
Sabo approached Luffy and grinned.
"Hey, little bro. I thought you could use a hand."
"Sabo!, you…you can remember me?" Asked Luffy with hesitation.
"Yes, I managed to regain my memories with the help of-"
"Ahhh!" Sabo was interrupted by the scream of Nami, who had barely avoided the strike of one of the remaining golems.
"Those things are attacking me!"
"Right!, be careful. They are stronger than they look. They can also use all sorts of techniques like the ones Vivi uses." Warned Luffy.
"Yes, we can leave our talk for later, brother. We need to do something about this crewmate of yours." Said Sabo.
"So this is truly Vivi?" asked Luffy.
"Yes, there is no doubt." Answered Nami.
"Something must have happened to her after she took a powerful stack from that Admiral…I thought she died but…"
"There is an Admiral here?" Interrupted Law.
"There are two, actually…but we don't know what happened to them. Admiral Kizaru stayed behind to fight…her" Sabo pointed at the water giant.
"While we escaped…I think the other one went into the city."
"Two Admirals? this is really bad!" Law exclaimed.
"Not now! we need to do something about Vivi first. I won't leave her while she is like this!" Said Nami.
"I think her mind has delved into some sort of primal state due to a traumatic experience, combined with the awakening of her Zoan fruit," Law explained his theory.
"And how do we bring her back to her senses?" Asked Nami.
"I suggested a good smack on the head," Luffy commented, earning a smack to the head by Nami.
"That won't do anything!. We don't even know where her real head is!" Said the Navigator.
"Yes…I told him the same." Added Law.
Three remaining golems charged at them.
"Let me do this!" Sabo stood in front of them.
Both his arms turned into formless masses of pure lighting before he moved them forward.
"Chain lightning!"
A great blast of lightning hit one of the golems before it divided into two and jumped to the other ones.
The three golems were reduced to pools of water and did not reform any longer.
"That was so cool!" Exclaimed Luffy.
"But you need a better name!, that one was boring."
"I know, right?!. I really need better names…" Admitted Sabo with a downcast expression.
"Could you two pay attention?!" Screamed Law.
"You are the only ones who can fight those things. I can barely walk..."
"Relax, Traffy…the only ones left are attacking that guy." Luffy pointed at Doflamingo, who was almost done with his part.
After all the golems were destroyed, the water giant moved its fingerless hand away.
All of the water that had been splattered across the garden started to float in the air before it shot back to the hand.
Soon enough, the hand had reformed all five fingers.
"What now?, is she going to make more of those things?" wondered Luffy.
"It doesn't look like it…" observed Law.
The giant brought her right hand back before lowering her head until it was almost at the level of the castle.
The sharp eyes of the water figure stared at them.
"She is looking at us," said Sabo.
"I know that expression…she is very angry." Added Nami.
"I think she is looking at Sabo!" Luffy said.
"Why would she be looking just at me?" Questions Sabo.
It was hard to tell because of how massive the face was but they could see her eyes moving after Sabo.
"She really is looking at you." Said Law.
"What did I do?." Complained Sabo.
The face got closer to him and the angry expression deepened.
The giant lifted its right hand, closed its fingers into a fist, and brought it down upon him.
The action was fast and sudden, compared to how it had been acting before.
Sabo's response to the attack was swift and decisive.
As he saw the colossal fist approaching, he called upon his power to release the strongest blast of lightning he could muster.
He was readying himself to escape along with the Strawhats as he didn't expect this attack to do much, considering the first of the water giant alone was as big as the castle they were in.
But much to his surprise and to everyone else watching, the giant removed her first away from Sabo and bent backward with a very exaggerated and unnatural motion.
Her expression had also changed from one of anger to one of shock and fear.
"What is going on? That couldn't have done that much damage to her…" Said Law.
"Oh wow, I'm more powerful than I thought." Sabo looked at his own fists.
"Does getting hit by lightning hurt that much? it doesn't do anything to me…." Luffy looked confused.
"That's because you are made of rubber!. Vivi is a different story, when we fought Enel, she almost….of course, that's it!" Nami made an expression of realization.
"What is it?" Asked Law.
"Vivi is absolutely terrified of lightning!, she hates them with passion since our time at Skypea. She is also especially weak to them." Explained Nami.
"So even in her current state, that fear must be present…" Law looked pensive for a moment.
"We may have a chance to bring her back."
"Really, how?" Asked Luffy.
"We need to perform some...shock therapy." Said Law with a grin.
