Chapter 266: Taking down a giant

"Sabo, can you do something stronger than the attacks you just used and aim at the head?" Asked Law while pointing up.

"Naa…that just now was the best I could do. I got this fruit today, still have a lot to learn." Sabo answered.

"Wait Traffy!, why the head? you told me it was useless to aim there." Luffy pouted. He had been called out for wanting to smack her head and now they wanted to do just that. It didn't make sense to him.

"Yes, striking the head would be as effective as striking any other part of the body. For any other type of attack that is, but the lightning element seems to have a psychological effect on Vivi. If we can destroy her 'head' with a powerful lightning…that might be enough to shock her awake." Explained Law.

"Well, that's just a theory but is the best I can come up with at the moment."

"I know of a way to call for a very powerful lighting." Nami pointed at some nearby clouds.

"If you can charge that group of clouds, they might be able to generate quite a powerful lighting."

"I might be able to do that but…I have no way to aim that lightning to its target." Said Sabo.

"You can leave that to me!" Nami said proudly while showing her clima tact.

"You think that will be enough?...that group of clouds is quite small." Law pointed out.

Nami stared at the sky.

"I know…If we had more time, I could generate a few more clouds or even move some other ones closer." 

"I can move them closer. You need to make something big, right?" The last person they expected had approached their group with no one noticing. 

They all turned around to see Doflamingo looking at them with an impassive gaze under his sunglasses.

Luffy assumed a fighting pose.

"What are you plotting now? Are we supposed to believe that you want to help?" Said Law with a cold voice.

"Help you?." He chuckled. "No, I rather have you all dead, but…as long as that abomination-"

"Hey!, Be careful what you say about her!" Nami shouted at Doflamingo while covering behind Luffy.

"That…thing…is threatening me and everyone I care for on this island. I'll help you take it down. Then, I will kill you all. How does that sound?" Doflamingo gave them a creepy smile.

"That does sound like something you would do," Law said with a sharp look in his eyes.

"Hmph!, just tell me what to do. We don't have much time, it looks like it's moving again." Doflamingo pointed out.

The water giant moved her hand over them. A massive amount of ice weapons came from it.

Luffy, Sabo, and Doflamingo deflected them the best they could.

"We need to hurry. Nami!" Law said with urgency.

"Fine!." She pointed up at several points. "Try to move all the clouds you can to that place above her." 

She then gazed at Sabo.

"Then you go up and charge them, leave the rest to me."

"How are you going to move the clouds?" Luffy asked Doflamingo with curiosity.

This one decided not to answer and just jumped up into the sky. He extended his strings towards the clouds and grabbed onto them.

"He can grab the clouds with those strings? how?..." Luffy stared in awe.

"He is probably coating them with armament haki. That allows you to grab non-physical things." Explained Sabo.

The water giant prepared the next offensive and Luffy got in front of Nami and Law.

"Okay, leave the protection to me. You go do your thing, Sabo!"

"Right!" Sabo looked up. It hasn't even been a minute but Doflamingo had already moved a large number of clouds and placed them all in the center, creating a massive one.

"Nami, are you ready?" He asked and this one indeed.

"Go!" She exclaimed.

Sabo flew into the air while having to avoid some attacks coming from the giant.

"Puff!" 

His figure disappeared as he entered the group of clouds and seconds later, these started to change up and become darker in color.

Nami for her part, had activated her clima-tact and created a series of electrically charged bubbles that will serve as a guide for the lightning.

"Almost there, just a bit more!" She had to move everything so it was right above the head of the water giant and this was taking a lot of effort.

Another wave of projectiles came her way but she was quickly shielded by a massive black fist.

"Gear third!" Shouted Luffy.

The colossal cloud had become completely black and they saw Sabo flying out.

He landed close to them, looking completely exhausted.

"Huff….I did what I could, I hope this works."

"It's coming!, brace yourselves!" Cried Nami.

Thunder and lightning traveled over the surface of the cloud.

"I'm sorry Vivi…this is going to hurt a lot."

Lightning started to converge at the center of the cloud.

The giant must have noticed some danger because it looked up at the last moment.

"Too late to move now! let's go….EL THOR!" Nami screamed as she ended her preparation.

A column of white light emerged from the black cloud and impacted the head of the massive water construct, turning it back into water molecules and creating a thick mist that hovered above them.

The now headless being lifted its arms in the air and started to collapse backward.

"Did that work?" Wondered Luffy.

"Looks like it lost control of its body." Said Sabo.

"This is not good!, if something that big fall back into the sea, is going to create a massive tsunami!" Shouted Law.

Doflamingo clenched his teeth in frustration.

"Wait!, look!" Nami pointed.

They saw as the mass of mist started to float down and converge together.
