Chapter 305: Back on the road

"So…everyone ready to go?." Vivi asks the crew.

"Don't you think you went a bit too far?." Franky kept glancing at the Germa66 ship, or what was left of it.

The castle that used to be on top of the ship has been turned into rubble. The shell had a massive chunk missing and the snail only had one eye now.

"It's going to take them a while to recover, but they should be fine," Sanji commented.

"I didn't expect you to do all of that for me." he glanced at Vivi.

"Of course. If any of your families gives you trouble, just let me know and I will annihilate them for you!." Vivi gave them a thumbs up.

"I wish you didn't do that…" Reiju said.

"I know my father and brothers and difficult but…I would prefer if they remain alive."

"That will depend on them. If they can keep their promise." Vivi had a stern look.

"You can be assured…they are not that stupid."

A group of clone soldiers came out of the Sunny's cabin and onto the deck.

"Sir, we have finished unloading all the food you requested!" They saluted.

"Thank you, go back to your ship now. We are about to depart." Sanji told them before turning to his sister.

"Are you sure about this? you can just give us the log pose. There is no need for you to come with us."

"I'm sure…is safer for everyone that way." Reiju nodded.

"As I promised, I will be your guide to Wano Country."

"That's fantastic! Because someone forgot to plan ahead…as usual" Nami narrowed her eyes as she stared at Vivi.

"Come on, be fair. I could not be expected to have everything prepared" Vivi complained.

"You were the one who took charge! And that was the most basic thing!" Nami shouted.

"You didn't think of that until now either…and you are the navigator!" Vivi rebuked.

"She got you there, hehe." Zoro chuckled.

The door opened again and Franky came out.

"Okay, everything is suuper ready t-"

"Shut up!, you have done nothing useful either!" Nami shouted.

"Hey!, I fought that cookie guy!" Zoro pointed at her.

"Squabbling again huh?...is this going to be a long trip?" Franky glanced at Reiju.

"I have no way to tell…I have never been there myself. This eternal pose was something my family's army ransac-....found during a war, like ten years ago. It's been in the treasury since then. Father said he had no intention to get anywhere near close to that place. Everyone knows is Emperor Kaido's territory now… then man is even more dangerous than Big Mom. I still can't believe you guys want to be there." Reiju explained.

"You may understand it better when you meet our Captain. Once something gets in his head…he will do it…and it doesn't matter who he was to face." Said Vivi.

"I think I'll go prepare something to eat. It will be my way to thank my lovely rescuers." Sanji smiled.

"Oh…and I guess, I'll make something for the mosshead over there too."

"Food, yes!" Nami exclaimed.

"Nothing sweet…" Zoro grumbled.

"What is this? A reverie?" Nami was reading a newspaper that had just been dropped on their ship.

"That's right. Once every few years, Kings around the world get together at Mary Geoise and have an important meeting that could affect the lives of many. Father was invited to attend but he refused…he always said those meetings were useless." Reiju took another sip of her drink.

"How can they be useless?, arent those Kings basically ruling the world?" Franky approached their table and joined the conversation.

"Supposedly, the World Government is composed of an alliance of one hundred and seventy Kingdoms. One could think that they all have the same weight and authority, but that's just an illusion. In reality, the twenty founding Kingdoms are the ones who rule." Said Reiju.

"The twenty founding Kingdoms are the ones everyone calls Celestial Dragons, right?" Asked Nami.

"Yes, they believe themselves Gods among mortals and treat everyone as such…they are just a bunch of disgusting beings!." Raiju said with disdain.

"Here is the desert!" Sanji came running out of the door and placed a tray with several kinds of sweets.

"Thank you, Sanji." Said Nami.

"Ohh, chocolate!" Franky went to grab one but was slapped away by Sanji.

"Those are for the ladies!. If you are hungry, go grab something from the kitchen!."

Reiju chuckled.

"I'm still getting used to seeing him like this. He didn't behave like that at home. You look happy here, Sanji…I'm glad for you."

"Thank you." He smiled at her. Then looked around.

"Where is Vivi?."

"She is still sitting at the back…doing that thing." Zoro came walking with a bottle of some liquor and sat down on the grass.

"What is she trying to accomplish by doing that? I thought that using her awakening left her exhausted, and now she is constantly using it." Commented Franky.

"According to her…the more she uses it, the longer she will be able to last, and the more control she will have," Nami explained.

"But to do that, she had to continue using it until she reaches her limit…until her soul can go no more reaches the breaking point, and makes her feel an indescribable amount of pain. Then rest and do it again. Her words..."

"That's an insane way of training, what is she thinking?!" Franky exclaimed.

"I don't like it either…but that's how she is used to train…" Nami said.

"Why push herself so much? She is already plenty powerful…" Reiju recalled what happened at her ship.

"Hmph!, enough rest!." Zoro took one last sip, stood up, and walked out again.

"Tsk...so competitive, that Mosshead," Sanji commented.

At the back of the Sunny was Vivi sitting next to the wooden rails. In front of her was the ocean.

Her shining eyes and translucent skin were indicative that she was currently in her awakening state.

She stared at the sea and controlled streams of water that kept bursting out, changing into several shapes and going back to the sea.

Vivi had been doing this for the last few days. And she intended to continue until they reached the island of Wano.

Her encounter with Big Mom had served as a reminder that even if she had become very strong, there were still those who could pose a threat to her and her friends.

'I have to be ready…for what's coming. An all-out war with the Sea Emperors.'
