Chapter 69 The City Of Warriors Part 5

The five shadow swordsmen slashed at the men standing in the center of the circle protecting Lixin. The men were also able to counter the shadow swordsmen's attacks, much to their surprise.

One of the men brandished his troch at a shadow swordsman as he pinned one of his comrades to the ground. As soon as the fire light touched the shadow swordsman, the shadow swordsman disappeared immediately.

The man stood up and shouted, "It's really afraid of fire."

Slowly and quickly emerging from the darkness, hundreds of shadow swordsmen suddenly appeared, surrounding Lixin and others. This time they could clearly see that the shadow swordsmen had a face, and the red eyes of the shadow swordsmen's eyes were staring at them, indicating that they were angry at the mortals who invaded their territory.

Lixin knew that with the joint efforts of himself and his subordinates, it was still impossible to defeat the phantom swordsmen. Lixin said, "They dare not attack us while we still have torches, so let's build a fire pit." He knew that the torches held by him, and his men would soon be extinguished.

Lixin reached out and took out a red paper-cut dragon from his robe. The paper-cut dragon is held between the index and middle fingers of Lixin. He closed his eyes and slowly chanted a spell. After he finished chanting, he opened his eyes and threw the red paper-cut dragon into the dark sky.

Slowly floating into the air, the red paper-cut dragon slowly split into thin red thread energies, quickly forming a red dragon. A few minutes later, the red paper dragon roared in the dark sky, and lightning flashed in the air.

Kexin turned her head to look over her left shoulder and saw lightning flashing in the dark sky. "Brother," she murmured softly.

Kexin felt a vine wrapped around her left wrist. She stepped forward to cut off the vines on her wrist with a sword, but tripped over a stone, sprained her right ankle, and fell to the ground. The vine woman quickly slid down from the tree, and the vines quickly wrapped around Kexin's ankles.

Although Kexin was lying on the ground, her aggressiveness towards the vine woman remained undiminished. She began to snip the incoming vines left and right until her right hand was caught by the woman. Kexin couldn't stop the vine woman's vines from wrapping around her tightly.

The vine woman disappeared, but Kexin was dragged away from the woods and towards the foot of the mountain. Fearing for her life, she began to struggle to free herself from the vines, but she could not. She raised her voice and shouted, "Help me! Brother, help me. Anyone! Help!"

Kexin screamed and struggled, hitting the side of her head against a rock on the dirt road, knocking her unconscious. The endless vines kept dragging Kexin's unconscious body towards the foot of the mountain, leaving behind bloodstains.

The red dragon took a deep breath, with raging flames coming out of its mouth and nostrils, the flames from its mouth sprayed towards the red-eyed sword shadow below and continued to circle around its master.

Lixin found a stone wall several feet away, and he and his men began to retreat towards the stone wall several meters high. Standing on the city wall, the red dragon let out another breath of anger at the oncoming shadow swordsmen.

Spurting from the ground, vines began weaving around Lixin and his men, forming a circular fence that surrounded Lixin and his men. Some of the vines deliberately ignited the surrounding flames that the red dragon unleashed on the Shadow Swordsman. Now Lixin and his men are inside a burning vine basket.

"They're going to burn us alive," one man yelled.

A man grabbed Lixin's left arm and asked, "My lord, what should we do now?"

Lixin was also lost in thought. Without even thinking about it, he summoned his own paper-cut dragon, trying to save them from the shadow swordsmen. Now he puts everyone at risk, including himself. A dangerous situation where he does not know how to escape. Looking at the burning vines, he saw that the vines were getting taller and taller, and the flames burned up wherever the vines went.

Lixin murmured, "I don't know now, let me think about it." He stared at the burning vine wall, not knowing how to get them out.

When Baishui walked to the wall, he saw a burning fence, and he could clearly see that inside the burning fence, there were people stuck inside the fence.

Without his own strength, Baishui knew that he could not help those trapped in the burning fence. Baishui knew in his heart that no matter what, he would try to see if he could change himself back to his original appearance. He closed his eyes and gathered all the energy in his body.

Baishui's eyes flashed suddenly, his long black hair gradually turned white, two red horns rose slowly from his forehead, and his body began to change.

One of the men looked out through a hole and yelled, "Something white is coming our way." He pointed to a huge white figure rising into the dark sky.

Lixin looked in the direction the man pointed and saw the head of a white dragon rising into the night sky. Thunder blooms. Some lightning flashed in the night, and some lightning struck the ground, destroying some shadow swordsmen and preventing other vines from emerging from the ground.

Baishui raised his head, his gaze fell on the tip of his lips. On the far side of the stone wall, he saw a tiny spark of light, and realized that the tiny spark was his father's pure crystal scale. The power in his mouth sprayed towards the burning fence, extinguishing the flames, destroying the red paper-cut dragon, and the powerful breath punched a hole in the wall. He growled loudly to get Hajime's attention.

As if aware of Baishui's situation, the white dragon's scale began to flicker on Hajime's neck, and Hajime quickly followed Yu and Abrafo.

U-ri said, "May I ask why we are in a hurry to meet that white dragon?"

Abrafo said, "Because Baishui and Jiāo may encounter trouble."

U-ri asked, "What if they are not? What if they were in a safe place now? Now, are we walking blindly into unknown dangers."

Michio said, "U-ri, don't ask too many questions, you are not fighting and investigating."

Michio was walking behind U-ri when he suddenly heard something falling on the ground. He figured it must be U-ri, so he bent down and found a brush that probably fell out of U-ri's bag.

Michio said, "U-ri, you dropped one of your brushes." Michio stood up slowly, only to find himself standing in the middle of a field. Michio looked around quickly. "Guys, this is not the time for children's play. Hey, guys!" The only sound Michio hears is the echo of his own voice. "It's not funny. Now show yourself."

The vines woman slowly got out of the ground, stared at Michio's for a long time, and then slowly approached Michio. She smiled at Michio's back.

On the other hand, U-ri quickly catches up with Yul and Hajime. He held his hand back and said, "Give me the water bag, Michio. I'm thirsty." He heard no answer. "Michio! Hurry up." He still didn't hear any answer. "Michio!" U-ri turned around, and to his surprise, he was the last one to walk behind Hajime. "Stop!"

Hajime turned around and asked, "What's wrong with you?"

U-ri said, "Michio is gone. He was walking right after us, and now he's gone."

Abrafo walked quickly towards U-ri. " Are you sure he's behind you?" Abrafo asked.

U-ri said, " Yeah, I just heard him tell me I dropped something."

The four men looked at each other and decided to go back to find Michio. They wonder if Michio has strayed off track because it's night.

"Michio!" Abrafo yelled into the night. "Michio! Can you hear me?"

Sitting in an unknown cave, fireflies illuminate the dark cave with light. Jiāo, whose feet and hands were tied, was sitting by the cave wall staring at Kexin, who was still unconscious, and had a bleeding head laying at her foot. Jiāo lightly kicked Kexin's shoulder twice with her foot, but it didn't seem to help Kexin regain consciousness. She kicked Kexin again, but this time was harder.

After several attempts to wake Kexin failed; Kexin finally began to moan in pain. Kexin slowly opened her eyes and saw Jiāo who was staring at her. She was entangled in vines from head to toe and could not sit up at all. Kexin was about to move, but Jiāo's delicate eyes made Kexin look to the right. Kexin turned her head to look to the left, and saw a man sitting on the stone platform, hundreds of thousands of energy strands gushed out from him and went straight into the cave wall. The man appeared to be in a deep coma.

In the dark night, Yul holds a torch, and the four call out to Michio. The four Tanzanies decided to return to their previous camp by the same route. As they walked far back, they noticed that there were no campfires, and no homemade beds of leaf. The four of them were even more puzzled by the situation in front of them.

Yul said, " It doesn't make sense. Our camp should be right here."

Hajime raised his head and looked around. He said worriedly, "Hey guys... I don't see the stone wall."

The three turned around, but they didn't see the gate to enter the capital of Magior city but faced a dark mountain.

U-ri said, "Well, this is definitely not where we were before."

"We seem to be in some kind of hallucination mirage," Yul said, looking around. He looked to his left and saw a line of trees. "Let's go back to the tree line over there, it looks a lot like where we left Saja and his men."

U-ri asked, "What about Michio?"

Hajime said, " He's not here. I don't believe we're in the same space as him."

Abrafo said, " Look around, this place is completely different from... ah...." Abrafo fell to the ground and was dragged away.

"Abrafo!" The men shouted chasing after Abrafo into the night.
