Chapter 70 The City Of Warriors Part 6

The blasted water extinguished the flames burning on the fence surrounding Lixin, and all the people inside. Lixin's floating paper-cut dragon was torn apart, and the magic paper dragon standing on the wall quickly disappeared into the air. Baishui swung his tail towards the fence and knocked down the fence. Baishui's long white tail circled around Lixin and the others, roaring loudly at the shadow swordsmen. The shadow swordsmen slowly retreated from Baishui; the shadow swordsmen disappeared one by one.

One of them raised his sword and was about to stab Baishui's tail, but Lixin grabbed his hand.

Drenched all over, Lixin calmly said, "Put down your weapon, I think he's here to save us, not to harm us."

Baishui turned his head and approached Lixin's head. "Although you followed me for two years, you still couldn't catch me," Baishui said. "Your arrows will never go into my flesh. I hope this time I can help you and make you change your mind and stop chasing me." Seeing the Shadow Swordsman disappear, Baishui let go of the entanglement around Lixin and his men. "Why are you so obsessed with the white deer?"

Lixin didn't know why the white dragon suddenly appeared in front of them and saved them. He didn't remember helping any dragon, but no matter what the reason was, he was glad that he was still alive.

Lixin looked up at the white dragon and said, "Thank you for saving us."

Baishui said, "You haven't answered my question yet?"

"My lord, the white dragon is snickering at you," one of the men said.

Lixin said, "Leave him alone, I don't know what that dragon is talking about."

As soon as Baishui heard the conversation between Lixin and his subordinates, he suddenly realized that although he had transformed back into his real body, he couldn't speak human language. He condensed his spiritual energy to transform back into a human form, but he seemed unable to do so. It seems that his hundreds of years of cultivation have been in vain.

Lixin said, "We're going back to find Kexin."

As soon as Lixin finished speaking, hundreds of vines sprang out from the ground and quickly wrapped around Baishui's neck, legs, body, and tail. Baishui twisted and tried to break free. Just as the vines began to tear apart, hundreds of thorny vines emerged from the ground, piercing directly into Baishui's flesh. In pain, Baishui roared loudly into the night.

Lixin's men began to cut down some vines that were tangled on Baishui, and Lixin started to walk away.

"My Lord aren't we going to save this white dragon?" one of the men asked.

Lixin glanced at his subordinates, and said, "No need, save some effort to find the other party."

As more vines erupted from the ground, Lixin and his men began to leave, leaving behind Baishui.

Chasing Abrafo through tall grass, Yul and Hajime begin to distance themselves from U-ri who is trailing behind.

Yul yelled, "U-ri… don't lose sight of us."

U-ri shouted, "I know! Don't lose Abrafo!"

Abrafo, who was dragged through the tall grass, blocked the tall grass from cutting his face with one hand, and reached for his sword with the other hand. Although it was dark, Abrafo's eyes had adjusted to the darkness by this time, and when the vines dragged him directly into the stump a few yards away, he grabbed the stump with both feet to prevent himself from being dragged further from his friends.

With great difficulty, Abrafo grabbed his own sword, propped himself up on his left foot, turned over and jumped into the air, cutting off the vines wrapped around his right ankle. At this moment, four more vines flew out from the darkness, heading straight for Abrafo.

At that moment Hajime saw Abrafo soaring into the sky, he saw four vines galloping from the night at Abrafo. Hajime's hands conjured four arrows and threw the four arrows forward. "Abrafo!" Hajime shouted.

Hajime's magic arrow flew past Abrafo at lightning speed, nailing the four vines to the ground.

Yul reached Abrafo first. He looked at Hajime's magic arrow that pinned four dry ordinary vines to the ground.

Just as Hajime catches up to Yul and Abrafo, Abrafo removes the dry vine from his ankle just in time. Abrafo pressed lightly on Hajime's left shoulder. "Thank you," he said with a smile.

Hajime nodded at Abrafo.

Yul picked up an arm-length dried vine and handed it to Hajime. "It's just a regular dried vine," Yul said. "But the will of ordinary dry vines cannot have such great power to drag people across the grassland."

Abrafo touched the vine and said, "Then it's not the ordinary dry vine."

Hajime said, "There must be someone or something controlling it." Hajime broke the dry vine in half and stuffed it into his cross bag.

U-ri finally caught up with the three young men, panting heavily. "Thank goodness you're safe," he said, almost out of breath, looking at Abrafo.

Abrafo looked at Yul and asked, "You're wondering if these vines are controlled by the keys shown on the map?"

Yul said, "Then the key will be very difficult to retrieve if that is true."

Hajime grabbed onto Yul's shoulders and said with a smile, "It doesn't matter how difficult the task will be, with us by your side; there is no key you can't retrieve. So, let's go find Michio and get that key."

U-ri said, "I agreed with Hajime's opinion. The five of us will not be defeated by any vines."

Yul said, "Let's go back the same way to the campfire and find Michio."

Walking alone in the darkness without light, Michio wiped the cold sweat from his forehead. "U-ri!" He called his friend's name for over an hour, but there was no response. He continued to walk endlessly into the darkness.

Michio continued to walk forward and saw a shiny object in front of him. He became excited and rushed towards the shiny object. When he got there, he found many dead bodies lying on the ground. After examining the dead man carefully, he realized that he had seen this type of outfit before, but he just couldn't remember where. It also occurred to him that the body had died less than three hours earlier.

Thinking that he and his friends were not alone in the forest made Michio very worried. If they weren't alone, then that must mean his friends might be in danger.

Yul, Hamije, Abrafo, and U-ri have reached the forest line. Abrafo got out of the bushes, found the wreck, and he walked back to the other Tanzanies.

Abrafo said, "We were right where we started. The broken wagon is on the other side."

Yul said, "That means this forest is not an ordinary forest after all."

U-ri said, "Chief Saja warned us that we will surely die if he enters the capital city of Magior."

Abrafo said angrily, " "Why do you still call him chief at this time?"

U-ri said, "I don't bark like you. I actually speak human language."

U-ri and Abrafo were about to argue again when there was a loud and painful roar, and as the roar grew louder, thunder and lightning flashed across the night sky.

Abrafo frowned, "What the hell is this?"

Yul said, "Everyone be careful."

The scale on Hajime's neck suddenly stood up, pulling Hajime to the left.

Yul grabs Hajime's arm. "Where are you going?" he asked worriedly.

The string on the necklace tightened around Hajime's neck. Hajime pulled his arm away from Yul and said, "This necklace is pulling me this way."

Yul was afraid that Hajime would get lost like Michio, so he followed Hajime closely. Abrafo and U-ri also quickly followed Hajime and Yul.

The necklace pulled Hajime forward and stopped on a dilapidated crosswalk. Hajime grabbed the necklace and said, "So you want me to go this way, huh?" He steps forward, but the necklace pulls him back.

Abrafo asked, "Why don't you go forward?"

Hajime said, "The necklace doesn't allow me to move forward."

Abrafo crossed his arms across his chest. "So, are we following the necklace?"

Yul said, " I'm sure this necklace is going to take us somewhere."

U-ri asks, "Where's your map? What does it tell you?"

Yul said, "It still shows that the key we are looking for is on that mountain." He pointed to the mountain.

Abrafo frowned, "Then, how do we get there from here?"

Yul shook his head. "I have no clue," Yul said, staring at Hajime a few steps away from him. "Hajime, how long are we going to stand here?"

"I don't know," Hajime said, turning to look at Yul. "But."

After waiting for more than half an hour, the surrounding environment began to fade, and a new environment appeared in front of them. The men looked at each other in disbelief. The men suddenly realized that if they kept walking without paying attention to the surrounding environment, they would not know that the environment they were standing in had suddenly changed.

Hajime looked left and right, and the ground under their feet began to slowly change. "Don't move...nobody move...stay close to each other," he said, looking at the other three men.

Yul, still holding onto Hajime's arm said shockingly, "So, this is how Michio got separated from us."
