Chapter 72 City Of The Warriors Part 8

Hajime looked at the white dragon and said, "Hang in there. I will give you freedom." He grabbed the point of Yul's sword and slid the palm of his right hand across the sharp blade.

Hajime knelt on one knee, touching the ground with his blood-stained palm, the ground around the white dragon began to freeze, and the vines also began to freeze. The ice soon became overgrown with the vines.

Yul and Abrafo could see that Hajime's face was getting paler and paler. Yul fell to his knees and grabbed Hajime's arm.

"Enough," Yul said.

Hajime said, "Not yet." Hajime looked up and saw that all the vines were frozen. "Break!"

With just one word, the frozen vines burst open, and the white dragon flew into the sky freely.

Hajime smiled at Yul and said, "We did it...we released him."

Yul sighed and said, "No, you did it. You free him." He helped Hajime up. "Let's go find Michio."

Abrafo stood beside Hajime and said, "You are one hell of a man." His hand slapped Hajime's back violently.

When the three men were congratulating each other, many arrows from the magical vines that emerged from the darkness were aimed at Yul, Hajime, and Abrafo. Without warning, the arrows sprinted at the three men. The three men ran to avoid the vine arrows, and the eagle and U-ri soared through the sky together. Abrafo was ahead, so he dived into the tall grass a few feet away from Yul and Hajime.

When the five arrows were very close to Hajime, Hajime raised his hand to block the arrows. "Shield," he shouted, watching the rapidly formed shield magic circle block the arrow that hit him, but at the same time, Hajime saw two arrows fly directly into Yul's back. Hajime rushed forward without thinking, blocking one of the arrows that was about to hit Yul's back. When the arrow hit Hajime on the right shoulder blade, Hajime pushes Yul's back with his left hand, which makes Yul fall to the ground, preventing the other arrow from hitting Yul.

Yul puts his arms around Hajime and the two run to where Abrafo ran for cover. Hajime reaches into his bag, pulls out another green scale, and hands it to Yul.

Yul asked, "What's this?"

Hajime chuckled, "The scale of your dead girlfriend."

Yul shook his head and took the scale from Hajime.

Hajime said, "Pat it with my blood."

Yul put the green scale under the arrow wound, let Hajime's blood flow through it, and returned the bloody green scale to Hajime. Hajime picked up the bloody green scale and threw them into the air. The single green scale expands on itself and drops deep into the ground shielding Yul, Hajime, and Abrafo from incoming arrows.

Yul said, "Turn around and let me cut that arrow short."

Hajime turned around, Yul swung his sword towards the arrow on Hajime's back, and the arrow was cut off.

Yul said, "Let's go find U-ri and pull what's left of that arrow from your back out and treat your wound."

Seen from above, U-ri saw the ground beneath his feet begin to change. Afraid of losing his teammates, he hurriedly descended towards the others.

Walking out of the tall grass slowly, Lixin saw that the vine woman was still looking for her prey with a vine bow and continued shooting countless arrows at the green shield in front of her.

Lixin grabbed his bow and said softly, "Give me a signal arrow."

One of the men grabbed an arrow with a fire flare strapped on the arrowhead and placed the arrow on Lixin's hand. Lixin aimed his arrow directly at the middle torso of the woman. Just when the vine woman drew the arrow and was about to shoot at the green shield again, Lixin let go of his fingers that was holding the bowstring. The flaming arrow spun in the air and hit the middle of the upper body of the vine woman. The flames erupted and quickly engulfed the vine woman. She screamed as flames shot up along the vines that created her.

Seeing that the vine woman has been burned. Lixin slowly stood up. He shouted, "Hey, it's Lixin, those people you met on the mountain a month ago. We're coming out."

Abrafo looked at Yul and Hajime and frowned. "How did these two brothers and sisters come here?"

From the side of the shield, Yul sees Lixin and his men approaching them from the tall grass. "It's Lixin and his men," Yul said.

The eagle landed a few yards away from Yul, Hajime, and Abrafo. The scene changed completely, and Baishui who was still above the sky also disappeared along with the original surroundings.

U-ri quickly dismounted from the eagle and ran to the three Tanzanies. "Take off your robe," U-ri said, putting down his medicine bag. "It will hurt a lot when I pull the rest of the arrow out."

U-ri picked up his knife and made two more cuts around the wound. He grabbed the tweezers and grabbed the thorn arrow. "Hajime, don't move. I'll count to three before pulling it out."

Hajime nodded.

Yul stretched out his hand to Hajime and said, "If you feel pain, hold my hand tightly."

Hajime said, "No need. I can handle it." Hajime chuckled. "U-ri, I'm ready."

"Three", U-ri said, pulling the thorn arrow out of Hajime's flesh.

Hajime cried out in pain. "U-ri! You liar," he growled.

"I'm not lying, I counted three," U-ri said, as he began to bandage Hajime's wound.

Yul pulled Hajime's robe, fixed Hajime's robe nicely, and covered Hajime's upper body. The eagle, black panther, and the green shield slowly shrank back to their original shapes and flew into Hajime's hand. Hajime stuffed the three items back into his cross bag.

Yul helped Hajime stand up, and Hajime saw many dark shadows lurking behind Lixin and the others, ready to attack them at any time.

Seeing two shadow swordsmen approaching Lixin, Hajime shouted, "The shadows are charging at you!"

Lixin dodged quickly, and the Shadow Swordsman flew past him, but the Shadow Swordsman didn't stop, but continued aiming directly at Yul and Abrafo, who had his back to the Shadow swordsman.

Hajime kicked Abrafo's knee and Abrafo fell to the ground, he pushed Yul away from the oncoming sword. Yul too, fell to the ground. Hajime raised his left hand to block the oncoming sword. The sword on the left pierced directly into Hajime's left hand, his left chest, and directly into his heart, while the sword on the right pierced Hajime's right shoulder. The blood gushing from Hajime spread across his chest, staining the pure white scale.

Yul looked up, and he saw Hajime's blood gushing from Hajime's wound. "Hajime!" he screamed, reaching for Hajime as he slowly fell backwards towards U-ri.

Abrafo cut off the two shadow swordsmen with his sword. As soon as Abrafo's sword touched them, the two shadow swordsmen disappeared.

Lixin shouted, "Form a circle."

Lixin's men quickly surrounded the four Tanzanies holding their torches.

Yul held Hajime in his arms and wiped away the tears from Hajime's eyes. "Does it hurt?" he asked worriedly.

Hajime moaned and panted heavily, "It hurts..." He raised his head and found that the tears in Yul's eyes had already fallen on his face. "I don't know why this time it hurts more than last time." He gurgled blood from his mouth.

Yul looked at Hajime with his eyes wet with tears. "Why did you block the sword?" He asked blankly, for some reason, seeing Hajime in pain made him feel even more painful.

Hajime smiled and said, "Because...because..." He coughed. "I can't die." He struggled to breathe for several minutes. While breathing heavily, Hajime finally figured out how they suddenly appeared and reappeared. He grips Yul's arm tightly. "I know...I know...a mirage...I know how to go up the mountain." He gasped and took his last breath inside Yul's arms.

Lixin walked up to the Tanzanies and looked at Hajime. "Did he say he knew how to get us out of here?"

Abrafo stood up and stood in front of Lixin. "It doesn't matter whether he knows it or not, it's none of your business," Abrafo said, stabbing the long sword into the ground beside him.

Lixin peaked over Abrafo's shoulder. "Is he dead?" he asked.

Yul wipes the blood from the corner of Hajime's mouth, he knows that Hajime may be dead now, but soon he will wake up again. "He didn't die, he just passed out from pain," Yul said, while straightening Hajime's robe, he noticed that the white scale on Hajime's neck began to disappear.

Bailong stood in front of the large piece of crystal ice that made the son of fire hibernate, walked around the crystal iceberg, and carefully looked at the gap between the crystal iceberg.

Bailong began to repair the gap with his spiritual power, and suddenly felt a sharp pain in his left forearm. He flicked up his sleeves quickly and found that there was a split wound on his arm. He watched the blood drip to the ground.

Bailong looked at his small wound worriedly. "Baishui..." he murmured and rushed out of the dark cave.

The gap that had just been repaired by Bailong slowly melted, and the corner of the son of fire's mouth curled into a smile, and the sound of soft breathing echoed throughout the cave.
