Chapter 73 City Of The Warriors Part 9

After finishing his prayers to the dead, Michio opened his eyes. He noticed that the night passed, and a new morning began. Although it was early morning and the sun hadn't woken up yet, due to the influence of last night, his eyes could still see a little bit. Michio wanted to bury the dead, but there were so many corpses that he could not dig that many graves all by himself before they rotted away, when he heard the faint sobs of the child.

Michio stood up quickly. "Who's there?" he called out, looking behind the tall green grass. "Show yourself."

A five-year-old child walked slowly out of the tall grass.

Michio walked up to the child and said with a smile, "Child, aren't you afraid of being here alone?"

The boy shook his head and said, "You are the first one who made me not afraid."

Michio laughed and said, "Really?"

The boy said, "You are so kind. I can see you surrounded by wallet virtue."

Michio said, "All men of Buddha are kind."

The boy said, "Kind monk, can you help me find my way back home? I was lost for a long time."

Michio held out his hand to the little boy. "Of course," he said, taking the little boy's hand. "So how long have you been lost?"

The little boy said, "I don't know, but it's been a long time."

Michio asked, "Which way did you come from?"

The little boy pointed in the direction away from the mountain. "Over there," he said. "I remember my mother going that way."

Michio left the foot of the mountain and walked towards the direction pointed by the little boy.

The morning breeze brushed Yul's face, and before Yul could open his eyes, he smelled the smell of cooking soup. Yul slowly opened his eyes to see who was cooking. Ever since they embarked on the journey, the cooks have always been Michio and Hajime, but since Michio was missing and Hajime was dead, he couldn't think of another person that would cook for them. Maybe Abrafo would stand up and take the initiative to help cook for the three of them. Yul heard U-ri talking to himself not far from Yul and Hajime, and when he looked up, it was U-ri who was cooking.

Abrafo took the spoon from U-ri's hand and asked, "Are you sure this thing is edible?"

U-ri said, "These mushrooms are left by Michio. They are edible. Also, if you eat them and get poisoned, I can treat you."

Abrafo looked at the spoon, feeling not too convincing to try the mushroom soup U-ri made for them. "Why am I a test subject?" he asked.

U-ri said, "Well, because I'm a doctor and you need me. Hajime is dead, um...for now. Michio is still missing. Yul is our leader, and you are the only one that is available to try if these mushrooms are poison or not." Uri secretly laughed, knowing that the mushrooms were not poisonous, he just wanted Abrafo to taste the mushroom soup.

Yul looked down at the ground beside him, Hajime was still asleep beside him. Hajime didn't seem to wake up yet, so Yul put his finger on Hajime's nose, but Hajime still didn't seem to be breathing and was still dead. Yul pulled Hajime's rope away and found that the wound on Hajime's chest was still bleeding, and the wound was not closed at all.

"Don't worry too much, he'll wake up sooner or later," Abrafo said, handing Yul a bowl of soup. "Although it's not as delicious as what Michio made, it's still edible. I've tasted it." He looked beside Hajime.

Yul holds a bowl of soup and has no appetite for his breakfast. "I remember that in Bell Forest, Hajime didn't take long to heal himself, but this time it's different. The wound on Hajime's abdomen by your sword is much bigger and deeper than the two arrow wounds."

Abrafo took a sip of the soup and said, "Well, because my sword is just an ordinary sword without any magic and spell equipment, but the vine arrow that hit Hajime was created by someone or something with magic, so of course, the wound I inflicted will heal faster than the wound caused by two magic arrows."

U-ri put a bowl of soup beside Hajime and said, "I agree with Abrafo's theory. That time, it took Hajime half a day to come back to life." He drank his soup. "Oh, and there's a curse on Hajime, remember? He won't die unless he finds true love. So far, we've only met monsters and ugly men." He looked at Lixin and his men. "Therefore, Hajime must not have found his true love yet, don't worry." He took another sip of soup. "Hajime will be resurrected soon."

Standing at the foot of the mountain, Michio stared at the stone gate covered with vines. The stone city is ancient and looks uninhabited over the years as nature has taken over. Green moose and overgrown weeds have reached the height of a man. There are two tall stone statues standing guard in front of the stone gate.

Michio remembered Baishui said about the Magic City of Warriors, adult men and women can reach ten feet in height.

Michio looked down at the boy who was still holding his hand and found that there was no shadow of the boy, and the morning light was shining on them. Michio smiled warmly and asked, "Is this your home?"

The boy nodded.

Michio looked around and murmured, "Do you think you would be able to lead my friends here? I seem to have lost them too. I don't know what happened to them."

"Holy Monk." A soft female voice came from behind Michio.

The boy seemed frightened by the sound. The boy looked up at Michio. Although the boy was just an immobile soul, Michio could tell from the boy's face that he was a little afraid of the person who spoke just now. The boy squeezed Michio's hand, but instead of staying to face the young woman, the boy disappeared into thin air.

The surrounding ground, where the four Tanzanies, Lixin and others were resting, suddenly shook violently. A large piece of pure white powerful light flew from a long distance away from them and hit the side of the mountain. They could hear the screams of many people in pain.

Everyone stood up quickly, looked at the place where the powerful light came from, and found that the bright light was still shining.

"What is that light?" Lixin's subordinates muttered one after another.

Lixin stood up and said, "No matter what it is, we don't want to interfere, we quickly find Kexin, and then leave here." He looked at the four Tanzanies. "How about you guy?"

Abrafo also stood up to check the light, he sneered and put his hands on his waist. "So, do you know how to get out of here? Have you noticed that the environment around us has changed?"

Lixin and the others looked around and found that they were resting near the tall grass last night, but now they have changed places. They looked at Abrafo speechless.

Abrafo said, "I went to take a pee this morning and I found our little campfire the night before. I'm pretty sure that's where we lost Michio."

U-ri asked, "Then where is he?"

Abrafo said, "I guess he's been moving like us, so we must have missed each other."

Lixin looked at Hajime and then at Yul, "So, you also lost someone?"

Abrafo said, "Hey, we haven't lost anyone, he's just missing. You're making it sound like Michio has been dead since last night."

Lixin said, "Well, if he meets a shadow swordsman, then he is dead."

Yul sighed and said, " We're looking for someone, and I'm sure he's not dead."

Lixin said, "If you don't look for him, the possibility of him surviving is very small."

Yul said, "As soon as Hajime wakes up, we will go find our friend."

Lixin said, "You are wasting time."

Yul said, " You can leave at any time. You have no reason to wait for Hajime to wake up."

Lixin stood up frantically, grabbed his sword and was about to leave, but suddenly found that Hajime said something that he knew how to get out before he fell into a coma. He sits back in his seat and stares slyly at Yul. "I have time too. I'll wait for your little friend to wake up and take us out." He smiled and looked at Yul.

Bailong, who traveled through the night at the speed of light, finally landed on both feet. With his hands behind his back, Bailong stared at the mountain peak, and then moved his eyes to the thousands of eyes peeking from behind the tree. Thousands of whispers echoed back and forth, but not a single word was heard.

Bailong said viciously, "Where's my son?"

Bailong's voice quickly dissipated the peaking spirits, and hundreds of shadow swordsmen lined up in front of Bailong.

"He chose not to go out." Hundreds of shadow swordsmen said together. "He didn't take the path that led him out but chose to stay."

Bailong sneered, " If my son loses one hair, I will burn you all to ashes." Standing behind Bailong were eight handsome young men in white robes. Bailong shot a pure white light at the tree, opening a passage to the mountain. "Let's go and bring your brother home."

"Yes, father." The eight youths responded in unison and followed Bailong along the paved path.
