Chapter 78 The City Of Warriors Part 14

Standing in front of the palace stone gate, Michio continued through the small opening and entered Magior. The structure of the long passage to the capital is cracked walls and stones that look unstable, as if the stones are about to fall at any moment, but Michio continues the unknown path. When Michio reaches the other side of the wall, he sees stone structures everywhere. As Michio approached the stone structures, he noticed that they looked very human. The stone structures look as if they were frozen in time.

Michio is a little afraid to keep going, but he has no choice but to keep going, looking for the ghostly lady who he believes is the mastermind behind the indestructible forest.

As he walked deep into the city center, there was a huge city wall in front of him, and a huge palace behind the wall. He immediately noticed that the tall palace in front of him was somewhat different from the other stone buildings. The tall palace buildings are clean and well-maintained, as if there are still people living inside.

"It's really creepy and weird," Michio murmured to himself. "How could this be this clean?"

Michio thought it was a mirage, so he rubbed his eyes hard, and when he opened his eyes again, the exquisite palace was still standing in front of him. He turned his head and saw that there were stone humanoids everywhere on the street, from adults to children.

Michio knows from experience that better paths always hide secrets. For example, this forest looks so beautiful from the outside, but once you enter the forest, it is nothing but deadly.

Michio decided to look to the left to see since the palace was so clean if there were people living nearby, because he knew that non-living things could not clean, they could only imitate. When he was walking on the stone-cold street, he found that those stone humanoids seemed to be frozen in time suddenly without knowing it. The facial of the stone humanoids' expression near the palace looked calm and happy, perhaps because they were unaware of the imminent danger, and it seemed like they were still living their daily lives. Compared with the expressions of those stone figures in front of the city gate, the expressions on the faces of those humanoid figures are full of fear, as if they are trying to flee away from something or someone.

Looking at the endless stone humanoids on the street, Michio sighed. He sighed worriedly because he didn't know where to start. He continued to wander the street, aimlessly without a destination when a voice stopped him.

Lan Huan asked, "What is that you are looking for?"

The frightened Michio turned his head quickly and saw Lan Huan standing in front of him. "I was actually looking for you," he said. "I am Michio of Tangzang Kingdom."

Lan Huan said coldly, "I don't care who you are. I don't want to know your name. You can't enter this palace as you like." She rolled her cold eyes at Michio. "I gave you many opportunities to leave, but you still want to stay." She took two steps towards Michio. "Do you want to stay here with them?"

Michio said, "So, these people are the souls trapped here."

Lan Huan said, " I told you before that this place has nothing to do with you. I gave you many opportunities to leave, but you refused. I'm afraid now you will have to stay here with us forever."

Michio said, " I'm here to tell you, I hope you can give me the key to No Man's Land."

Lan Huan smirked at Michio and said, "Your request is too much, I'm afraid I can't meet your request."

Michio said, "Taking anything by force is not something I want to do, but with this key, I'm one step closer to saving my kingdom."

Lan Huan looked at Michio and said, "What will happen if I say no?"

Michio said, " If you don't agree, the nine people outside the city wall will burn this mountain to ashes. I hope you can release the imprisoned souls, and you are willing to give me the key to No Man's Land."

Lan Huan said, " These souls have a very important purpose inside these walls, so what can you call this trapping? They are citizens of Magior, and when they called the warriors to protect them, the warriors answered. The warriors died so they can live and enjoy life, it's only fair to them to serve those who died protecting them." She looked at Michio coldly. "If those dragons out there want to fight...I'll fight them to the last soul."

Michio said, "Dying to protect others is the will of the individual. It is the duty of the people living in this land to protect the kingdom with their lives, but it is a crime committed out of greed to trap unwilling souls. Those Unwilling souls, that you trapped within these walls will do you more harm than good. Those unwilling souls will turn their unwillingness into hatred, and when hatred grows, resentment breeds, and demons are born. Benefactor, everything you do here may work for you, but not for everyone. Trapping these souls here is tantamount to trapping yourself in. The stronger the desire, the stronger the demon in your heart, so, please let go."

Lan Huan madly said, " Let's go? Everything here is still the same, why should I let go?"

Michio said, "Because everything you ever knew and loved has faded with time. Your memory is your own and no one can take it away from you." Michio knew that no matter how much he persuaded Lan Huan to hand over the key, Lan Huan would not give him the key, so he put forward his own idea. "Standing in the middle of this street, I'm sure this used to be a beautiful road full of lively laughter. So, close your eyes and let's go back to the past." Michio watched Lan Huan slowly close her eyes, Michio slowly reached into his left sleeve, and slowly pulled out a red talisman. "Listen to the twittering of the people who used to walk this street. Did you hear them?"

Lan Huan fell into deep thought, unaware that Michio had put a hypnotizing spell on her. "Yes, I can hear it," she said, sounding sleepy. "I can smell the morning food wafting from the street."

Michio held the red talisman to his chest. "What else did you see?"

Lan Huan smiled and said, "I saw... Princess consort..." She smiled again. "Princess consort...waving at us." Lan Huan heard the cheers of the crowd, and the sound of horseshoes became clearer in her ears. The shouts of the soldiers became louder and louder. "His Highness..."

Michio threw the red talisman directly at Lan Huan's forehead, and the red talisman slowly merged with her skin. "Amitabha..." Michio said. "Please forgive this monk.

Michio stared at the gate of the clean palace, not knowing why, his heart told him to go inside again. He hesitated for a moment because of the unknown danger behind the palace walls, but he also knew he had no time. He reached into his bag and pulled out a flare. He quickly pulled the signal bungee, sending a fire signal to the sky.

Knowing that it is more difficult to find his place during the day, Michio sighed with a heavy heart. He looked up at the flames dissipating in the sky and said, "Please see the signal and come quickly. We had just an hour to find the key before she woke up." Micho glanced at Lan Huan again, then walked towards the palace.

As the eagles approached the city, Hajime saw the fire signal dissipate in the sky. Hajime turned to Yul and said, "That's Michio...he needs us."

Yul also sees the fire signal and says worriedly, "Why did he mark his tracks?"

Hajime said, "He must be in trouble, so he marked his last location so that we can find him."

Yul said, "Don't wait for the others, just fly over those walls and get to where you see the signal."

"Look," Hajime said, pointing forward. "There's some sort of barricade that prevents anyone from flying in."

Yul sighed and said, "We have no choice, but to enter through the front door." Yul looked down and he saw a large magic landmark. "Hajime, look down there."

As soon as Hajime looked down, he saw a huge magic circle hundreds of meters away from the city wall. "What kind of magic circle is that?" he asked.

Yul said, "That's called the fairy ring circle."

Hajime asked, "How do you know that symbol is called the fairy ring circle?"

Yul said with a heavy heart, "Tangzang's army defense is guided by the fairy ring circle formation."

Hajime asked, "Who designed this fairy ring circle?"

Yul said, "My ancestor, Sukh Bayarmaa."
