Chapter 105 Rapacious Part 6

Fang hugged Ming and rushed out of the palace and began to move as fast as possible. When they reached the main street, Zoya, still blind, suddenly stopped.

Fang asked, "What's wrong? Why did it stop suddenly?"

Zoya said, "Something is not right."

Fang looked back and found that Dong's people were not following them. She asked, "What's wrong? I didn't see Si Dong's people following us."

Zoya said, "There are people more powerful than Si Dong's men who are rushing towards us."

Fang asked, "What? Are you sure? I didn't see anything."

Zoya said, "The invisible things are the most terrifying. I feel that there is a powerful force here that is devouring our life energy. An individual more powerful than me is here to take away the life energy of everyone here. This individual possesses tremendous power. A force greater than mine. This individual is here to take away the life energy of everyone here." Her lips trembled. "This individual possesses power beyond my ability to save everyone, and we must get out of here as soon as possible."

Fang said, "Then let's hurry up. We are almost at the capital gate."

When Zoya and Fang saw the open city gate from a distance, the sounds of people crying and rushing towards them became louder and louder. Fang looked back; she saw that the palace had turned into stone, and some of the people rushing towards them had already turned into stone, and some were beginning to turn into stone. Fang saw the black mist rushing towards those who wanted to escape with their loved ones.

"Zoya." Fang said, wanting to tell Zoya to hold her tight because there were many people rushing towards them, when someone bumped into her back and she suddenly let go of Ming, but quickly grabbed Ming's legs again. She looked down at Ming to see if Ming was okay but found that Ming's eyes had been closed and his face had turned pale. She touched Ming's face. "Your Highness." She gently stroked Ming's already cold face. "Your Highness..." She reached out and touched Ming's nose. Her lips trembled and she found that she was no longer breathing. She knelt down on one knee and held Ming in her arms. Then she felt the knife on Ming's back and tears stream down her face.

Because someone bumped into them, Zoya released her grip on Fang's sleeve and instead of moving forward, she stopped in the middle of the street a few feet away from Fang. She desperately searched for Fang and Ming with her hands.

"Fang! Fang!" Zoya shouted. "Fang! Where are you?"

Fang held Ming tightly in her arms and looked up at Zoya, who was still looking for her in the crowd. "Zoya... the gate of the city is straight in front of you. Go ahead... I'm looking for a horse."

Zoya refused to move forward but was pushed away by the people rushing towards the city gate. When everyone pushed her forward, Zoya was still calling for Fang and Ming.

Fang looked down at Ming, who was lying peacefully in her arms. She took out her handkerchief and wiped the blood from Ming's neck. Then she held Ming tightly inside her arms, and the black mist rushed forward consuming them.

Fang smiled at Ming and said, "My dear prince, don't be afraid of the dark. Maid Fang will accompany you." Fang and Ming's bodies slowly turned into stone, and black mist rushed past them.

Staring at Tu fearlessly. "Fight me one on one and see who's still standing at the end," Haneul said, pointing his spear at Tu. "Or are you afraid of pathetic king?"

Tu gritted his teeth and pulled out his sword. He pointed his sword at Haneul and said, "You think I'm afraid of you. Well..." he said with a wry smile. "I don't."

Tu rushed forward and swung his sword at Haneul. Tu rushed forward swinging his sword at Haneul. Haneul avoided Tu's sword and flipped his spear around, hitting Tu in the stomach with the end of the spear, causing Tu to stumble backward toward his soldiers.

Haneul swiftly quickly rotated the spear, pointed the sharp spearhead at Tu, and attacked Tu with his spear. Tu tried his best to block Haneul's blows, but every time Haneul hit him, although he blocked it, the force of Haneul's blows hit him hard. After he blocked ten blows, his hands began to tremble violently.

Tu was pushed back to his soldiers by Haneul again. Tu looked at Haneul, who was still standing without any sweat a few meters away from Tu. He kept wondering why Haneul was still so energetic.

"Getting tired?" Haneul scoffed at Tu.

"Either kill him or let him go," Sukh said. "Obviously, he can't defeat you." He shook his head at Haneul's childish behavior and happened to see the black mist in the distance. "Haneul, something is coming from the direction of the palace."

Haneul looked to the right and saw black mist rising into the sky. "The city is in trouble."

"This city is indeed in trouble. My father and his soldiers have entered the palace, and soon a new era will emerge." Tu smiled at Haneul and Sukh.

Hamza said, "Zoya and Saja and others are still in the palace."

Haneul said worriedly, "Lady Lan...?"

Tu said, "If Priestess Lan is smart, she will side with my father. Unless..." He laughed.

Haneul asked madly, "Unless what?"

Tu said, "Unless she will die with the others."

Haneul gritted his teeth and said, "As long as I am still standing here, you and your father will never be able to inherit the throne of Prince Jianjun." He pointed his spear at Tu. "No more toying with you."

Haneul rushed forward with his spear. This time, every blow he dealt to Tu was for Tu's life. After hitting Tu fifty times, Tu's hand could no longer hold the sword and the sword fell to the ground. Haneul pointed the spear at Tu's throat.

"You just like seeing other people suffer, right?" Haneul asked madly. "Well, if you can't see the world positively, then maybe you don't deserve to see the world." He slashed Tu's eyes with his spear, blinding Tu's eyes. Haneul looked at the soldiers wildly. "Count to ten. Either put down your weapon and live, or rush forward and die. One..."

The soldiers quickly lowered their weapons.

Haneul sighed wildly and screamed at the soldiers, "Get out of my sight before I change my mind!"

The soldiers rushed into the forest, leaving Tu crying in agony at Haneul's feet.

Sukh said, "Let's go to the capital and see what's going on." He turned to Hamza. "The remaining villagers are guarded by other mages. Gather everyone and go to your secret hideout. The mages and others are waiting."

Hamza asked, "What about the two of you and the rest of your mages?"

Haneul said, "We will go find Lady Huan and Zoya. Be already set off when we return."

Haneul, Sukh and three hundred mages rushed towards the capital city.

Hamza picked up a sword from the ground and was about to attack Tu but decided to drop his weapon. "The Northern King is right. If you can accept that there are people different from you walking among you, it is better you do not see at all. Complete darkness is best for you," he said, turning to look at the villagers. "You all heard our king. Gather what you can and prepare to leave when His Highness returns."

When Haneul, Sukh, and the mages arrived at the gate of the capital city, they found many people pouring out. They entered the streets, and more and more people came toward them, scrambling to get out of the city. Among the crowd, they saw Zoya slowly walking towards the city gate.

Sukh said, "There is something wrong with Zoya. Why is she walking like that?"

Haneul said, "You stay here with the others." He charged his horse towards Zoya. Haneul jumped off his horse and grabbed Zoya's right arm.

Zoya quickly broke free, but Haneul's grip tightened. "Zoya," Haneul said.

Zoya quickly grabbed Haneul's hands and said, "Your Highness, you are here."

Haneul asked, "What happened?"

Zoya said, "Saja... Saja... betrayed us and sided with Si Dong and his army. They have captured the palace."

Hanel asked, "Where is Lady Lan?"

Zoya said, "I don't know. Saja poisoned me with pure black dog blood. I couldn't see or use my powers for the next seven days." She held Haneul's hand again. "Your Highness, Fang and Prince Ming are behind me. Please go save them. I can feel the evil spreading among us."

Haneul looked beyond Zoya and saw that people far away from Zoya had turned into stone. He grabbed Zoya and put Zoya on the horse. He climbed on his horse and said, "Let's get out of here and see where the others are."

Zoya asked, "Your Highness, what is going on? Please tell me."

Haneul galloped towards Suk and the mages, saying, "Everything is starting to turn to stone. We need to get out of here."

Zoya's heart sank. "No..." she cried. "It can't be."

Haneul asked, "What's wrong."

Zoya said, "Huan is using the Life Curse."

Haneul shouted, "Sukh, get out of here with the others."

Sukh turned the horse's head, and he and the mages rushed out of the city gate with others.

Haneul asked, "What is the Life Curse?"

Zoya said, "The Life Curse means using the land to curse yourself at the cost of your own life. As long as there is dirt, the curse will continue until another more powerful spell stops it."

Haneul's face turned dark. "You're saying that if we don't stop it, everything in its path will turn to stone," he said looking at the frightening people running alongside his horse.

Zoya said, "Yes, Your Highness."

Haneul looked back at the capital and said, "Then let's stop it." Haneul stopped his horse and stared at the black mist slowly creeping towards them.
