Trap

On the top floor the group could hear boisterous laughter and the sound of silverware scraping against plates. The source of the loud laughter and chatter came from a table in the center of the fifth floor, while all the rest of the tables just had the sound of muted whispers. It was easy to guess which of the groups belonged to Blaine's posse. While the rest of the customers might have also shown an elegant demeanor they still acted subdued and didn't show any signs of discomfort at the noise pollution in the room.

Leon's eyes scanned over the group and identified who he guessed to be Blaine. This person wore clothing of higher quality than the rest of the occupants sitting around the table, he was also shadowed by two people who had the appearance of guards. While he might not have been the loudest one of the bunch, he was the one who everyone was directing their words to, the laughter was also from those around him in response to whatever he said.

While Leon may have a bit of weight on him, Blaine was truly overweight. He had an expression of someone who looked to be full of themselves, it probably wasn't helping that everyone around him was buttering him up. The thing that stood out the most though were his eyes, they seemed to constantly look down upon everyone around him. Leon had to wonder how everyone appeared in his eyes, were they even fellow humans to him?

Honestly, Leon couldn't be more excited when he laid his eyes upon Blaine. This is what a true 'Young Master' was supposed to be like, at least based on how the System described them. Leon just wanted to hurry and finish this ordeal so he could practice emulating the way Blaine looked at everyone, he had the feeling the Heavens' Chosen might just pick a fight with him just from that alone. It seemed that Leon wasn't the only one who wanted to get the action started as Caleb walked over to Blaine's table.

Leon made sure to hang out in the back of the group and keep himself hidden from the sight of those sitting at the table. Unfortunately, he couldn't fully hide himself from those who were sitting at the other tables, but it seemed like the bystanders wanted to just stay as bystanders as no one called him out. If anything they showed signs of interest towards the events that were about to play out before them.

"Blaine, who the hell do you think you are? You're just a coward who can only act when the boss isn't around."

The group went silent once the words were spoken and they noticed the identity of those who approached their table. Caleb's taunts, and their recent success seemed to spur them on to return in kind.

"Well if it isn't the bitch squad, where's your master?"

"Haha, I almost forgot about these rat bastards, did they get tired from hiding in their hole?

"I bet their master abandoned them, he's probably had his fill of them and has moved on."

While they might have been insulting the group, the insults to Leon didn't go too far nor did they dare to call him slurs since he was still the young master of the Rain Clan. Even if no one could call out Blaine due to his status, that didn't mean the same applied to the others of his group. However, it seemed that Leon couldn't free himself entirely from the barrage as the main character of today's event decided to speak up finally.

"Who am I? I'm your fucking grandfather, now let this grandfather of yours beat your fucking ass! Me, a coward? That little bastard meant nothing to me, the only reason he could do what he wanted was because I didn't give a shit!"

Blaine clearly had too much to drink as he was swaying and even slurring his words as he shouted. Leon couldn't tell if his face was red from the alcohol or anger, maybe even both.

As long as Leon's group kept control of the conversation they would easily be able to get Blaine right where they wanted him. Caleb seemed to also be knowledgeable about this as he kept directing all of his words towards Blaine and ignored the rest of his group sitting around the table. He also kept in mind that just as Blaine's posse couldn't go too far in insulting Leon, the same went for his insults towards Blaine.

"Hah, you're nothing. You say you don't care about the boss? What a bunch of shit, when the boss was around just his name would make you as meek as a mouse. The one who didn't care was the boss, otherwise how else do you think you were allowed to do whatever you wanted behind the boss' back?"

Caleb's words hit Blaine right where it hurt, his fragile ego couldn't handle being looked down upon. Leon also heard movement coming from the stairs behind him. It seems like the climax of this performance was approaching. Caleb, who had been told the plan along the way also knew that the finishing blow had to be delivered soon.

"The only reason the Boss isn't around is because he had duties to do in the Rain Clan, but seeing how you have so much free time to play around I guess the Bell Clan doesn't think much of you either."

People started to gather around the entrance of the fifth floor and watched the spectacle while those who had been on the fifth floor already had completely forgotten about their meals before them. Blaine in his drunken stupor also noticed the attention he was getting, which only enraged him further. To him, all of these people were judging him, comparing him to that fucking bastard. How dare these insects look down upon him.

"Who gives a shit about some fucking Rain Clan! Seeing how even that bastard is valued shows that the Rain Clan is just some shit stain that's already doomed! My Bell Clan can crush those fuckers whenever they want!"

Checkmate. The room was silent after Blaine's outburst. He had gone too far and everyone knew it. Insulting the Young Master of a Major Clan wasn't that big of a deal if your status was equal to theirs; however, openly insulting the Clan itself was another thing entirely. Normally, no one here would dare to call him out on it. Unfortunately for Blaine, someone who could accuse him was here.

"Blaine! How dare you! Who gave you such courage to speak of my Rain Clan like that?! Have you lost your mind?"

Leon finally stopped hiding and stepped forward to make his presence known, it was time for him to play his role. Going by the pale faces of Blaine's group they knew they had been played, but Blaine himself seemed too drunk to notice his mistake.

"Hah! So the bastard finally decides to show himself. Did you finally decide to stop hiding and-"

Before he could continue on he was stopped by his two guards who were also pale in the face, they knew the situation was fucked. However, instead of Blaine, their sight was glued towards a different person. Leon out of curiosity followed their gaze and found himself looking at his own servant. Based on how the two guards recognized the servant, Leon could guess that the old man had a reputation for his own. Now that he thought of it, when Leon had been hiding himself he had not seen his servant anywhere in the room. Did he hide himself to help Leon not be found out? This old man was quite the character!

Leon also had the feeling that the two guards also seemed to be deathly afraid of his servant, and for some reason he had the feeling it had nothing to do with the current situation. Who the hell was this old man? Blaine should have a status similar to himself, yet his guards paled in comparison to his own. Was there something special about the original?

"Sir, please forgive the Ninth Young Master, it's just the alcohol speaking. He doesn't know what he's saying, he wouldn't dare to speak such words normally. Again, please forgive him."

Leon had the feeling that it wasn't him that they were addressing but the servant before him. Why did it seem that the servant had a higher status than the master? Leon watched on as his servant turned to face him, was he seeking his guidance on the matter? The two guards also saw this as they finally turned their attention to Leon, awaiting his decision on the matter.

This… this isn't how this was supposed to play out. Leon had planned to allow Blaine to continue on in his drunken rage. Those around him would try to distance themselves as Blaine would have not only crossed the line but took a dump on it. Then Leon would alienate Blaine from his groupie's by threatening their Clan's businesses with his group of thugs and alluding to what they might do. At that point Blaine would have been effectively defanged as no one would dare to side with him. Of course that was just going to be a bluff in the end, but now it was unnecessary.
