“What do you mean?” Christopher clasped her arm. “Stop talking nonsense and eat the medicine,” he hissed, placing a tablet in her palm.

Under his fiery gaze, Abigail cowered.

"Do you find it difficult to meet my demand for a baby? It has been two years, Christopher." 

He didn’t answer her question. All he did was stare at her, acting mute.

“Why do I feel like you don’t care about my feelings?” Abigail asked. “Don’t you love me?”

His silence was the clear answer.

Christopher started to think about another theory. The possibility of Oscar's involvement was no longer valid. Perhaps he went into exile because he was unable to control the company's losses. Or maybe he was in danger. Christopher was considering this angle too.

Despite his suspicions about Jasper, he lacked substantial evidence against him. At the same time, he couldn't deny the fact of someone else's involvement. But he was still skeptical.

"Who could that be?" he asked, looking at Brad.

"I don't know." Brad shrugged. "It is just a feeling I have, based on the events of the past. Think about it carefully. First Alison, now Abigail. You have been targeted twice by someone who doesn't want to see you with any woman. Someone who wants to keep you all to themselves."
