“What do you mean?” Christopher clasped her arm. “Stop talking nonsense and eat the medicine,” he hissed, placing a tablet in her palm.

Under his fiery gaze, Abigail cowered.

"Do you find it difficult to meet my demand for a baby? It has been two years, Christopher." 

He didn’t answer her question. All he did was stare at her, acting mute.

“Why do I feel like you don’t care about my feelings?” Abigail asked. “Don’t you love me?”

His silence was the clear answer.

His unexpected assault stunned Vivian, who had never imagined he would do something like this, even in her dreams. He was kissing and biting her, kneading her breasts roughly.

Vivian stood transfixed, shock and pain coursing through her. She seemed to have become puzzled and lost her strength to retaliate. Her inner self, however, felt offended, even though she loved this man. This was violence, and she couldn't let herself succumb to it.

She pushed him away hard, her eyes burning with pain.

Eddie's madness vanished as he met her tear-filled eyes. He regretted forcing her. He wanted to apologize to her, but his voice didn't come out.

"Do you want to rape me?" she asked, her voice trembling.

Eddie staggered, his heart sinking. He was so ashamed of himself that he couldn't face her. He turned around and stormed away.

Vivian hugged herself and watched him drive away.
