Christopher’s dream project

Gloria departed after dinner. Abigail and Christopher were alone in their bedroom.

Abigail sat beside him, gently and lovingly tending to Christopher's injuries on his forehead, neck, shoulders, and arms.

His gaze was fixed on her as if he were seeing her for the first time, the depths of his emotions visible in the way he looked at her. Her kindness and caring demeanor moved him. His heart was racing, indicating that he had fallen in love with her all over again.

Abigail lifted her eyelids and met his gaze. There was so much she wanted to ask him—so many questions about what had happened all of a sudden that he had fallen into such danger. But she decided to let him rest for now. She knew they would have time to talk later, and at this moment, she wanted to offer him comfort and care.
