Christopher's determination to make things right with Abigail didn't waver. He knew he had to give her the space she needed, but he couldn't bear the thought of leaving without at least trying to talk to her. He decided to wait for her, no matter how long it took.

Christopher sat on the front porch. He continued checking his phone for a message from her, hoping she would contact him, but there was none.

Christopher became more concerned as the sun began to fall. He knew Abigail had to come out at some point, but what if she refused to speak to him? What if she decided she didn't want to see him again? The thought of losing her forever was unbearable.

As darkness descended, Christopher pulled out his phone again, contemplating whether he should call her. He wanted to hear her voice. He eventually dialed her number.
