A mysterious kidnapper

The man was taken aback to see them. He planned to sneak her out of the house through the back door, but Abigail's guards had arrived to stop him. How did they find out about his move? There was a hint of fear in his face.

The guard and driver were equally vigilant; their keen eyes locked onto the goon's every move. With weapons drawn, they maintained a careful stance.

"Drop your guns," the man growled, brandishing the knife against Abigail's throat. "Or else, I'll slit her throat."

They looked at Abigail and then slowly lowered their guns, putting them gently on the floor. The tension between the two sides was evident as they faced off, each waiting for the other to make a move.

"You can't get out of here," the guard stated. "You will anyhow be apprehended. Leave her and surrender yourself. Your life will be spared." He glanced at Abigail and then looked down at the man's leg as if signaling something to her.
