“What do you mean?” Christopher clasped her arm. “Stop talking nonsense and eat the medicine,” he hissed, placing a tablet in her palm.

Under his fiery gaze, Abigail cowered.

"Do you find it difficult to meet my demand for a baby? It has been two years, Christopher." 

He didn’t answer her question. All he did was stare at her, acting mute.

“Why do I feel like you don’t care about my feelings?” Abigail asked. “Don’t you love me?”

His silence was the clear answer.

The Billionaire's Sick Wife

Samuel showed genuine concern in his eyes as he helped her to her feet. He removed his shirt and gently covered her exposed body. His kind gesture was a stark contrast to the violence that had taken place moments earlier.

"Are you okay?" he asked, keeping his voice as gentle as he could.

Elsa, her heart heavy with gratitude, nodded in response. If he had arrived a little late, those men would have raped her in front of her brother. She clutched the shirt tightly, using it to shield herself as much as possible, feeling vulnerable and exposed in front of Samuel.

Sensing Elsa's unease, Samuel swiftly shifted his attention to Jasper, who had been subjected to brutal abuse.

"Are you okay?" he asked, displaying a shared concern for their dire situation.

"Don't worry about me," said Jasper. "Hurry up and untie me. Check for the key in their pockets." He nodded to the men lying unconscious on the ground.
