“What do you mean?” Christopher clasped her arm. “Stop talking nonsense and eat the medicine,” he hissed, placing a tablet in her palm.

Under his fiery gaze, Abigail cowered.

"Do you find it difficult to meet my demand for a baby? It has been two years, Christopher." 

He didn’t answer her question. All he did was stare at her, acting mute.

“Why do I feel like you don’t care about my feelings?” Abigail asked. “Don’t you love me?”

His silence was the clear answer.

Vivian, in her teasing tone, playfully commented on Abigail's initial reaction. "Hey, Abigail, are you not going to welcome us?" She asked in a teasing tone, her smile betraying her playful mood. "What is it? You seem as if you are shocked. Are you not happy to see us?"

"No, no…" Abigail's momentary puzzlement quickly gave way to composure. She regained her usual warmth and replied, "How could I not be happy to see you? I am just pleasantly surprised." With her surprise aside, she approached Vivian and embraced her warmly.

Vivian chuckled and patted Abigail's back before stepping aside. "Christopher invited us over for dinner, and I thought it would be a lovely opportunity to spend some quality time with you."

Eddie, who had been quietly observing the exchange, spoke up, his deep voice resonating in the hallway. "We hope we're not crashing any romantic plans you two had."
