Samuel’s longing

Elsa let out a bitter laugh, her heart aching with disappointment. 'Huh! You are pathetic, Elsa,' she scolded herself inwardly for daring to hope that this man could ever truly care for her.

"I don't want to lie to my brother," she said sternly, her voice devoid of emotion. She pulled on her jacket and grabbed her purse; her movements were mechanical. "This is the last time we are seeing each other. Don't come after me."

With that, she turned on her heel and walked away, leaving Samuel alone on the bed, his eyes filled with regret and longing. But Elsa didn't look back; her heart was already made up. She was done with him, and she knew that she deserved better than a man who couldn't commit to her.
