The reluctant goodbye

A week had passed. Jasper sat in his office, staring at his phone as he dialed Elsa's number. He had been so busy lately that he hadn't had time to go back to the villa and meet his sister. He felt guilty, thinking he had neglected her. He hoped she would forgive him and that they could catch up soon.

Elsa was in Samuel's car when she received his call. She signaled Samuel to keep quiet as she answered the phone.

"Hey, Jasper. I am on my way to the airport. Where are you? You didn't come to meet me this entire week," she whined, sounding disappointed.

Jasper sighed, rubbing his temples. "I know, Elsa. I'm sorry. There are just some pressing issues that I have to deal with," he explained, trying to apologize for his absence.

Elsa snorted. "Yes, yes, I know. You've become a busy man. Now I need an appointment to meet you, I guess." She laughed lightly, but Jasper could sense the hint of disappointment in her voice.
