“What do you mean?” Christopher clasped her arm. “Stop talking nonsense and eat the medicine,” he hissed, placing a tablet in her palm.

Under his fiery gaze, Abigail cowered.

"Do you find it difficult to meet my demand for a baby? It has been two years, Christopher." 

He didn’t answer her question. All he did was stare at her, acting mute.

“Why do I feel like you don’t care about my feelings?” Abigail asked. “Don’t you love me?”

His silence was the clear answer.

"Thank you for coming here, Zac," Jasper murmured.

Zac chuckled and hugged Jasper back, looking nervous. "Feeling a bit jittery, you know," he admitted in a hushed tone.

"Don't worry, everything will be fine," Jasper reassured him. "Just have faith in yourself."

He then introduced Zac to Sebastian, who was standing nearby.

"Nice to meet you, young man," Sebastian said, extending his hand for a handshake.

On the other side of the banquet hall, Britney, engaged in conversation with some distinguished ladies, diverted her attention toward the arrival of the handsome young man. Observing Jasper's warm reception, Britney deduced that the newcomer held a significant position in the evening's celebrations, perhaps as the chief guest. When she witnessed her father engaging in an enthusiastic conversation with him, she grew curious.

'Who is this mysterious guest, and why is he receiving such VIP treatment?' she wondered.
