Jasper’s fury

Jasper's initial worry and helplessness morphed into a seething rage, his fury now squarely directed at Samuel. He suspected that Samuel was aware of Sebastian's plan and that he had deliberately brought him here so that his boss could threaten Ella and force her to leave. If Samuel had not been his sister's husband, he would have killed him without hesitation.

Sensing something odd, Samuel asked, "What is the matter? You look disturbed."

Jasper, unable to contain his rage, scrunched up his face and confronted Samuel directly. "Don't you know what happened? Don't try to act as if you don't know anything," he thundered, his voice reverberating within the confines of the car.

Baffled, Samuel retorted, "I am not pretending anything. Tell me clearly, what is happening?"

"Stop the car," Jasper commanded, his frustration escalating. He was not inclined to engage in an argument.

"No, you have to tell me everything first," Samuel resisted.
