His eyes landed on someone

In the morning, Drey awoke to find Chard patiently waiting outside his door, his hand resting on the back. It appeared that the young man was doing well, having already returned to work.

"Good morning, my King," Chard greeted him, following him quickly as he made his way to the kitchen. "I have some news to share with you. The merchants from the business fair have sent a letter to the castle through their representatives, which arrived early this morning."

Drey paused for a moment, considering this information. "Is that all?" he asked, before settling down in his throne-like chair. Chard didn't hover behind him, but instead took his place beside the King, ready to assist him in whatever way he could.

Chard shook his head, "No, the letter indicates that they wish to express their regrets in person and extend their apologies for any inconvenience caused during their previous visit."
