Sex contract

Lindsay's POV.

After putting on my regular loose top and a pleated skirt, I left my room. Asher wasn't home, which I was grateful for because, during these past few days, I couldn't stand him.

"Fredo's Inc," I said to the cab driver and entered inside.

I looked down at my shaky hands. I was so nervous and the reason was clear. The fear of rejection overwhelmed me and also the feeling of me not being good enough. I remembered the words Asher said to me the previous day. "Why don't you quit already" those words boiled my blood. He was the cause of my problems. The least he could do was be supportive.

The drive didn't take more than 30 minutes and we were already there. I stared at the big building in front of me. The biggest online trading company ever. I have never been there before and the only person I knew was Tricia.

"Hello, welcome to Fredo's incorporated. How can I help you?" A beautiful blonde lady said to me, As she talked, her eyes didn't leave the screen of her laptop.

I thought carefully before giving her a response. I knew if I told her I was there for the interview, there was a chance she might not let me through. Tricia clearly stated that the employment notice was not yet official

"I have an appointment with your boss"

"Please wait a minute," she said and after some time, she spoke. "Sorry there is an appointment" she replied plainly and I sighed in frustration.

I couldn't fight my way in. The only way for me to get past her was to call Tricia to come to my rescue.

I picked up my phone from my purse and called Tricia. After telling her my problem, she ended the call, saying she was coming to get me.

After waiting for nothing more than 2 minutes, Tricia came to pick me up. The blonde lady didn't say anything as I walked past her.

"What the fuck did you tell her?"

"I told her I wanted to see the boss"

"Wow, you really went all in. There is no way she would let you in if you told her that" she chuckled, but I didn't laugh back because I was too nervous to do so. "Anyways, the Boss's office is on the second floor," she said and I nodded. "I have to go back to work"

I watched her leave and gulped. I entered the elevator, thinking about what I would say and how I would act. Maybe I should have done more research on online trading companies. Rather than show up at one of the biggest with my head blank.

It didn't take long before I found the office. It wasn't very hidden because there was a lable_ CEO. on the top of the office door.

My shaky hands held the doorknob, but I withdrew it. I needed to knock before entering. What were my manners?

I knocked on the door, but I didn't get a response. After breathing out in distress, I decided to barge in without trying to knock again.

The office was exquisite and spacious, but I didn't admire it for long even though it was very appealing.

On the huge desk, nobody sat there. The CEO wasn't there and if he eventually showed up, it would look like I was an intruder.

I stayed at a particle spot, contemplating if I should leave or wait for my fate. While my mind was still in turmoil, the door opened and it skipped a beat.

I turned to look behind me and I didn't expect what I saw. I was taken aback.

"Shaun?" I called out in astonishment. He was also surprised to see me. I had no idea what he was doing there.

"What are you doing here?"

"I uh" I bit my lips nervously. I was nervous because I started remembering what had happened between us. He still looked as stunning as he did that night, but I was embarrassed, so embarrassed that my cheek flushed.

"I was waiting for the CEO"

He nodded his head and offered me a seat.

"You work here?" I asked. While I spoke to him, I tried my best to avoid eye contact because I could stand his intense eyes.

"No I don't work here" he paused, taking one good look at me. "I am the CEO"

My mouth dropped. A man who I had an affair with, was the CEO of the company I wanted a job? I felt so embarrassed that I looked down at my hands.

"What happened between us was a mistake?"

"I didn't say anything about that amazing night" I looked up at him, stunned. He called the night he had with me amazing? I never felt so special the way I did at that point.

"Oh" I managed to let out.

After giving me a brief smile. "So what are you here for?"

"I want a job at your firm"

Still staring at me, he spoke. "You know, you didn't tell me your name when we last met?"

"I am Lindsay"

"Well, Lindsay. What experience do you have working as a secretary?"

"None" I replied faintly that I could hardly hear myself.

"Have you worked at a firm before? "

"No"

" Why did you quit your last job?"

"My hus... " I wanted to speak, but I stopped midway. I didn't know why, but I didn't want him to know I was married. "I wanted to go for something bigger. Working as a teacher is not my field. I stopped because I wanted to follow my actual dreams" I lied and he nodded, still looking at the documents I had submitted to him.

He peeled his eyes off them and landed them on me. "I couldn't stop thinking about you after that night," he said randomly and I swallowed hard. His words alone made my head spin and my body react in a way it had never done before.

"What are you saying?" My voice had already changed a bit. I was too nervous and flushed to keep my cool.

"I can't give you a job at this firm" he blurted out and my heart sank. Before I could say anything he spoke again. "But I have a job offer for you"

"Which is?"

"I want you to be my sex partner for a year"

I was taken aback by that offer. I was supposed to be angry and feel insulted, but I was too stunned to show any emotions.

"Sorry?" Maybe I didn't hear him properly.

"You heard me"

"Are you out of your mind?"

He leaned closer to his desk. "Do you know how long and hard I searched for you? Yes I am out of my mind and it is solely because of you"

"I'm sorry, but I can't accept this"

"You haven't asked of the pay"

"I don't care about your money"

"If we do this, it's not going to hurt anybody. I am ready to pay you millions and plead with you until you accept. I almost went insane because of your Lindsay. I got back home that morning and you were nowhere to be found. At first, I thought I could continue with my normal life, but I couldn't. Every fuckin day, I found myself thinking about you."

"I don't....." I tried to speak, but he didn't let me.

"Lindsay please" he begged with softened eyes. The way he called my name melted any anger I had inwardly. There was no doubt that I desired him as much as he desired me, but I didn't know what was stopping me.

I grabbed my bag from the desk."Have a nice day" I said to him and walked out

When I got to the door, I leaned on it, thinking of a good reason for me to turn him down. I didn't find any. My husband was an asshole and the only person that made me enjoy sex for once was Shaun.

The affair was going to be to my advantage. I could be with a man I really liked and the pay would be good. There was no need to turn him down. There was no point too

I turned around and opened the door

Shaun was surprised to see me because he thought I had left.

"I accept your offer" I said with confidence.
