Chapter 3. The Big News

Au-or-ra, jasmine my best friend called as she infiltrated my room while screaming my name I was asleep in my bedroom when she entered with a loud voice to wake me up with a start forcing me out of bed as he yelled startling me. YawningI rubbed my eyes and heaved a deep breath frustration.

"Jasmine" how many times do I need to tell you not to wake me up calling the way you did and stop yelling, I'm not deaf you know"well if you don't want me calling you mmmmisss Aurora...I groan at her and shrugged nonchalantly at her remarks since speaking about it was rather a waste of time, girl you know that is the only way you would be wide awake and I wouldn't want to miss that opportunity she smirked forcing me to chuckle, am wide awake, what is it? I asked with a calm voice as I waited patiently before she spoke.

"Your parents went you downstairs ASAP, according to Luna's instructions, in a rush she spoke as she giggled looking at me amusedly with a big grin on her face while leaving my room, guess I will have to do my morning obligations as fast as apparent, the Luna I know doesn't like to be kept dawdling particularly during breakfast.

I took my bath and dressed in shorts with a dreary crop top with sandals to match and fled my bedroom as fast as possible heading towards the stairs as I made my way toward the main dining room which I guess will be huddled with pack members by now, since it breakfast already.

"Wait why is it so silent here, halting in my steps I thought to myself, where is everyone, the pack house is always very loud and busy with servants and members going about their businesses as usual." nearing the dining area I saw the existence of my four brothers, my parents, and jasmine waiting patiently for my entrance which frightened the hell out of me.

"Ok" guess we're doing breakfast privately today I thought to myself as I walked in to sit down marveling why we were eating alone this morning, it was always with the pack members, this is strange and I knew my parents had good or bad news confiding on who it meant for, I pray isn't mine.

I sat next to my brother Alex, he is the love of my life, in his eye am his angel and he would do anything for me, he is also the family's darling boy and dad's beloved, I guess nothing has been able to test our bond yet. Positioned beside him were Derrick, Lucas, and Marvin as the eldest and next in line to the Alpha throne, and his jasmine yes that naughty girl happen to be my best friend she lost her parents due to a rogue incident when she was only five and was adopted by my parents making her family and now, our next Luna of the pack. I recollect when she turned eighteen, We both intended to walk around the pack just in case her wolf could scent out her mate among the pack members, or else, she will have to submit her name for the annual mating ball oversaw for unmated wolves to find their mate every year, so when we descended the stairs and I felt her froze in place, I tried my best to ask her if she was ok, but the only thing she said was "mate "

I looked over to where her attention was and landed on Marvin my brother, shocked and happy for her, they started making out right in front of me which was quite awkward to witness so I call mum just in time to separate them apart before they mated with each other in our living room floor and now they've marked and mated with each other and they are so in love and happy, guess not everyone is blessed with love I signed.

loading my plate with eggs, bacon, and slices of bread with orange juice I started to eat. Fifteen minutes through my meal dad broke the silence in the room.

he spoke suddenly looking in my direction and waiting for a response from me.

"Wait what, both Lucas and Alex exclaimed together in anger while I watched them battle it out with dad.

I knew this day will surely come eventually, but I never thought it would be this soon, werewolf are required to mate as soon as they find their fated mate. Guess the law is being applied to me too am almost twenty in a few weeks. Father according to the law, I know our laws son
