Chapter 10

I stared at Oscar as he looked at me without uttering a single word. I took another bite out of the apple and blinked twice.

He looked like he was flabbergasted but it was true, I never lied.

"Look, if you have a problem with me, as a girl, being your driver then, I'll just..." My words were cut short when he snatched the unfinished apple from my hand and tossed it to the bin. "Hey!" I exclaimed feeling offended.

Without even noticing, he leaned towards me. I leaned backwards but the more I leaned back, the closer he got. It didn't look like he was going to stop and I wondered what he was going to do.

Soon, I ran out of space. Our faces were so close that if anyone were to see, they'd surely misunderstand.

"You're not going anywhere!" He said, his expression dark and cold. Where was that flabbergasted look from earlier? I had a feeling he was trying to exert his authority over me. "I don't have a problem with you being a girl so, you still work for me. Is that clear?"
