Chapter 11

I ran out of the hospital and took a cab home. Luckily, there were a few bucks in the jacket. It almost felt like it was prepared for this sort of emergency.

We arrived at my house and I quickly paid the driver before running towards the front door. I opened the door hoping to see my dad but I didn't. Rather, I met a messy living room.

"Dad, are you here?" I called out but there was no response. Bad thoughts flooded my mind and it grew even worse when I found a letter.

"If you want your father, come to the casino with five million dollars. We'll be waiting!"

I squeezed the letter and threw it out of rage. He really did it! This man was too blinded with money that he wouldn't mind jumping into a lion's den.

I didn't want to waste any more time and quickly went to the bank. I withdrew the money and headed straight to the casino. By the time I got there, the sun had already set.

There were two hefty guards guarding the place. I wanted to just walk in but they stopped me.
