Chapter 36

It felt almost unreal that I was with the people I previously ran away from. Come to think of it, I didn't meet Nathan before leaving.

He didn't attend Alex funeral at the time and since I was muddlehead, I didn't call or see him before leaving.

"You're both Aliya's parents?" I asked and they both nodded.

"Yes!" Nathan answered. "We'll talk about that some other time but right now let's talk about you."

"Tch, homeworks are boring!" She pouted and filed her arms as she walked upstairs with her little short legs. Anyone could see it was tiring.

"Come here, you!" Edan lifted her and they both disappeared from our sight.

"Tasha, how have you been?" Nathan asked and I turned to him.

"I've been fine!" I said and brushed my hair behind my ear.
