Chapter32

#Chapter32

Family visit

After our little camping excursion, classes resumed. Junior fibbed when he said the college was holding parents’ weekend at school. We needed to get them here with no excuses from them. I don’t think they would not show up no matter what, but we weren’t taking any chances.

We waited as each set of parents arrived. The younger kids were staying with Grandpa and Grandma for the weekend. It was better this way.

Once our parents arrived, we all greeted them, but it was tense. We stood in front of them, face-to-face as if there was a standoff between them and us. Our parents finally realized there was no parent weekend. They were here for another purpose.

/"They have had us,/" Frazier said to them.

/"No shit, Sherlock,/" Jordan said.

/"We should have seen this coming,/" Dad added.

/"Got to hand it to them. We taught the kids well,/" Elena said.

/"A little too well,/" Marissa agreed.
