She carried herself to the darkest and coldest regions of the forest, where even the smallest patch of moss ceased to exist. All that was left of the ground was black soil.
From a distance, It reminded her of a burned-out fire. It seemed like the soil itself were ashes and coal, left from a fire burned long ago.
Unknown to her. She was heading towards to darkest part of the woods. Where light never touched the soil, where animals never crossed. Where shadows resided.
She stopped. The sudden urge to vomit came over her as she brought her hand up to her mouth.
Her eyes witnessing something more terrifying than seeing the devil himself. She saw shadows.
Not one, But numerous. Hidden behind the trees waiting for her to move a step ahead and consume her pure body. She screeched as a black shadow touched her leg making her stumble back. However, she was already surrounded by them.
