a week later

Kyungpook sat on the chair his eyes looking straight/ half to the ground .

/" You don’t have to be here sun cream, you better go back to my brother I don’t need your pity /" Kyungpook finally said , to stop the silence

/" You can’t accept that someone's nice to you, can you ? /" Halfly in a chuckle the other male shifted a bit .

/" Not if it’s you /" with a half smirk the boy answered easily .

/" Well thanks for the compliments/" Kai muttered then under his breath .

/" you're welcome /"

Kyungpook smiled as he heard the facepalm of Kai , who actually didn’t want to admit it

but it was good to see the boy smile again .

suddenly the door opened and Kyungpook flinched back at the sudden

/" Good morning mr.do and .. /"

/" Kai /" he finished for him

/" Kai /" the doc continued .

/" morning /" both of the boys hummed together .

/" How are we doing /"

/" Great ./" simply saying it, the blind boy hid a little sarcasm in his raspy voice.

/" he's almost as hyperactive as in the past /" the elder then decided to answer knowing that the cheeky shorter wasn’t going to be anything else then ... in a bad mood

the doctor chuckled at that .

and Kyungpook punched to his side hitting Kai into the chest and causing him to fall off his chair afterwards due to the force

/" Sorry it was my hyperactivity /" Kyungpook acted innocent .

the elder held his arm grimacing in pain

/" How did you ?/" he chocked looking at the boy .

/" I’m blind not Anosmia, I could smell your sweaty head from a mile away . seriously it's still winter and you're sweating .. like a fat old man /" chuckling he continued his insults as Kai rolled his eyes .

/" Ok , that’s good that you seem to be handling your situation well /" the doc interrupted their little battle of words .

/" What am I suppose supposed to do? cry in the corner ?/" Kyungpook questioned obviously as if he had just been triggered .

/" What he means is that has really tried to /" corrected once more .

Kai smeared that fake smile over his face hiding the fact how Kyungpook behaving .but it just ended in silence .

/" Ok then ... let’s have a look at your neck /" the doc approached with his medical weapons nearby as Kyungpook turned his face to the ceiling , so he would get a better look at it .

slowly the doc removed the plaster revealing the huge wound .

it was disgusting indeed

it was stitched and red and a little swollen .Kai could swear he sees it pounding .and it makes him shiver just to think about it .

/" That looks ok /" professionally he started to document .taking little notes at the side

Kai never liked looking at wounds and blood and all that shit .. yaks .. it made his stomach turn upside down and as the doc slowly tapped around the wound Kai didn’t want to do anything else then just puke all over the scenery but at that thought he felt sicker .

/" Do you feel anything ?/" he asked continuing to molest his obviously hurting wound, that made the younger flinch at every touch .

/" Yes, I can feel your freaking finger ,and it hurts /" he spoke obviously wincing at every touch of the doc . they always did that ? did they lose their brain ?of Corse he could feel it ? wouldn’t you feel it when someone molested your wound as if it was a casual thing to do !?

/" Ok ./" the doc grabbed the new plaster on the table along with the cream ,appealing the cream first and then the plaster .. this time luckily gentle

Kyungpook lowered his head down into its original position . and touched the big annoying plaster. that was placed on his neck .

/" And let's have another look on your eyes /"

/" Why ?/" asking with no fear Kyungpook lowered his hand .

/" I already told you , maybe there could be a rebuilding and if we notice it we could support it /"

/" there's no rebuilding I am fucking blind /" Kyungpook answered annoyed almost immediately .

/" Kyungpook, just let him look you can never be sure /" Kai also interfered and the younger boy

sighed annoyed. as the doctor got out his pen , turning it so that the light could shine from the pencil into his eyes .

he shacked the light a little as he opened Kyungpook eyelids .

/" Can you move your eyes for me ?/"

but nothing happened Kyungpook eyes remained response less . just starring at one point .

/" Kyungpook /" Kai asked for the boy to cooperate knowing how stubborn he was .

/" I am, geez ,I am but just like last week nothing happens,

don’t you get it ??/" Kyungpook removed the docs hands from his eyes .signalizing how he already gave up and accepted it .

/" I’m going back to my room now, thank you doctor /" he stood up and wanted to walk away when he suddenly tripped .

Kai was instantly there and caught him into his chest , causing the younger to get back away in response

/" don’t touch me! .. i-i can handle myself /" Kyungpook made his way out of the room . this time without help and only a Hand on the wall as guide

/" I’m sorry doc ../"Kai apologized .

/" No need this is common . it's just his reaction .. and trust me we have had worse ../" the doc held his shoulders understanding

Kai entered the room of Kris and Kyungpook again , shutting the door softly behind him .

and seeing that Kyungpook was laying on his bed.

and Kris.. as always ..

it was already late .

and Kai had spent the day out clearing his head from all of it before he then returned .

/" Kyungpook ? /"He carefully asked

/" I’m sleeping /" Kyungpook answered cold . not feeling like talking .

/" With open eyes ?/" Kai smirked and walked closer .

/" I’m blind , I can sleep like a fucking vampire whenever I want/" Kyungpook turned to his side showing Kai his back .

/" Vampires don’t sleep didn’t you ever watch twilight ?/"

/" Maybe I will in the future ./"

Kai sighed . at that.

he was really trying to be nice and comforting towards the younger one, but he was making it SOOO hard .

/" It was a joke ../" Kai tried to change the subject

/" No shit ,..sun cream /"

/" You know I’ve gotten pale because of winter/"

/" So ?that doesn’t change shit /"

/" Notice, how you curse in literally every sentence /" Kai got closer .

Kyungpook smiled . and Kai did as well

/" you really are stupid /" The younger chuckled weak as Kai just rolled his eyes

/" What do you want ?/" the blind boy then asked

/" What do you mean ?/" Kais smile faded .

/" Be honest I don’t like you and you don’t like me . so, what the fuck are you doing sitting beside my bed and talking all sappy to me ? why were you at the appointments of the doctor and me ? /" Kyungpook turned back on his back and sat up .

/" Because I know how important you are to Kris/"

/" And ? .. /" He didn’t get why it's Kais business

/" and. I don’t want to tell him ‘Your brother starved to death while I watched ' when he wakes up ./" Kai admitted .

Kyungpook sighed unfortunately understanding what the elder meant .

/" Look , I know the situation's hard for you ..and that you have nowhere to go after you get out of the hospital by the end of the week . so, I was going to-/"

/" what do you mean nowhere to go? .. me and Kris we have an apartment /" Kyungpook started tapping around trying to find where Kai was .

/" I.. Kyungpook .. I found your papers and one of them said ,

that you've been thrown out of your apartment /" Kai held Kyungpook tapping hand down to stop him

/" Fuck ../"Kyungpook cursed silently and pulled his hand back . /" Wait , .. one of them? /"

/" Yeah .. em it was 2 and the other one said .. that .em .. you're fired from your job ../" Kai nervously told him .

/"Again, fuck ../" Kyungpook slapped his forehead and instantly regret as he felt the pain on his neck, and he winced back.

/"Calm, kid /"

/" don’t call me that /"

/" I already saved both Kris's and your stuff from the streets .. you're welcome /" Kai told him

Kyungpook signed leaning back .

no job

no apartment

what now

/" I’ll take you in after you're out of the hospital/" Kai suggested

/" I’d rather starve on the street /" Kyungpook simply replayed .

/" Too bad cause if you don’t stay at my place , then they'll let you stay here with all the other disabled people ., where they treat you like a baby . /" Kai said in a certain tone in his voice . that Kyungpook hated .

it was Kais typical 'I’m going to win this argument anyway'

but he was wrong it wasn’t an argument. and even if,

he kept quiet at that .and Kai for one sec thought things between them finally settled.. but his hopes crushed with one simply word he should have expected since he knew the kid .
