Chapter15

#Chapter15

Juliana sits and looks at herself in the mirror, the hairbrush put to one side, and then with a sigh stands up and wanders over to her walk-in-closet. Tonight is a special night, for the fourth pig has been taken care of, five long years are now behind her, and she is now free of the hatred and burning desire for revenge, for there is nothing else, and no-one else to hate, and she is free to let her love for Paul flow, free to once again embrace him, and to feel his love.

The dress she selects with care is a special dress, for it is the one she wore on the first day of their honeymoon, the one she let fall to the floor at her feet, and then gloried in Paul’s love, with gay abandonment before they slipped into their Carnival costumes, attached the masks and joined the gaiety and happiness of Venice in full cry... before her whole world came crumbling down.
