Aiden wasn't sure what a 'gathering' was, but if the reactions that followed was anything to judge by, it wasn't pleasant.
/"Why do we have to go?/" Eric spat, violently spearing a stick of asparagus. /"It's unnatural and it could be seen as us supporting him./"
/"Because,/" Clyde said, scowling softly, /"It is tradition. To deny him such a tradition would be to disrespect him. To disrespect him would make us more than just enemies, it would make us his target./"
Aiden peered around. He seemed to be the only one baffled as to what the conversation meant. Remy's expression had darkened and he was shaking his head. /"He's a rogue that became an Alpha. Their kind tend to hate packs for no reason. What's to say we're not already his target?/"
