As the days began to roll into an orchestrated sequence, Aiden found himself falling into an easy routine.

He would rise. He would eat. He would draw or watch the birds from the conservatory. He would eat. He would play video games with Mac. Final meal of the day. Retire to his room.

It was a mundane practice, broken up by elements of unpredictability, such as Clyde taking pity on him and allowing him to tag along during his drive into town, or Remy taking him to the store because Mac insisted they went together. Victor had even found him skulking around once and asked him to help him move a few boxes from the garage to his office.

They made the day move faster.
