It made being around him more comfortable, but Sly feared what would happen if he were to forget who Jackson was, if he allowed himself to see him as a friend, somebody whose company he was coming to greatly enjoy, as opposed to an employer.

/"Are you still dry?/" Jackson checked before his mom made her way back in. The house had fallen into a blissful quiet. The telly hummed away in the background, but it was so low that they could still hear Martha clunking around in the kitchen.
