#Chapter22

AXEL

Six years ago

/"Axel, you’d better get up or they’ll leave without you./" Jameson yawned, his long arms stretching over the covers.

It’s too damn early. Why the hell did I schedule us to leave for the conference at early as-fuck dawn?

/"You have no right to sound tired, Jameson Thijssen,/" I rasped in his general direction.

/"I’m not tired,/" he said, yawning again. /"I had plenty of sleep./"

Our Harvard house party had just gotten interesting when Jameson pussied out and headed up to our room. When I came in at the break of dawn, he was sound asleep. His phone, with no notifications on the screen, lay by his ear. He probably wanted a quiet place to talk to that she-devil, Shelia.

I mirrored his yawn and stretched, cracking my neck and arms. /"And why did you leave the party, anyway? Was it to call your girlfriend?/"
