#Chapter4
Nathaniel moves towards her hugging her around the waist she's still glaring but she quickly melts into his arms.
If that isn't adorable god I don't know what is.
Loretta was really welcoming, she invited me for some late dinner I mean I tried to say no but neither of them were having it.
/"nonsense Kristina I must know what you were doing up in those mountains/" she tells me, leading me into the main part of her gorgeous house. She helped her workers prepare some food for all of us. I found it refreshing to see that.
Her workers weren't in uniforms or anything they just had casual clothes on. The smiled at me when they saw me enter.
/"right let me get this right for once/" Nathaniel says walking into the kitchen.
/"we have Shana, lily and Brendan and this is Kristina /"he introduces me to them. They look away from their task and say a quick hello before going back to what they were doing.
/"so, what were you doing in Ireland/" Lorenzo asks me as he takes a sip of his glass. What surprised me was that they even had their workers sit with them and eat. I was honestly shocked.
/"A trip with my fiancé but after a while the weather turned/" I paused trying not to swear. /"really bad/" Lorenzo smiled at this, well I didn't know if they accepted swearing so I played it safe.
/"And he just left you there/" Nathaniel gazed at me, he was shocked I could tell by the tone of his voice.
/"I mean yeah he went to get some help/" I tell them, backing up my idiot of a fiancé.
/"sweetie that's not right he should first made sure you stayed somewhere safe if you had all your camera gear with you that could have easily been stolen. I'm so glad Renzo was able to get you thank god for William/" I know what she meant, my stuff is not cheap and if someone did see, guarantee I'd lose something.
/"William was lovely he said he was an old driver of yours/" I say turning to Nathaniel. He swallows the food in his mouth before nodding his head.
/"yes, he was, I'm surprised he told you he normally likes to keep that a secret/" not to me he was really open about it.
/"well I'm just glad you're back and safe dear, if you need Renzo will gladly drive you where you need to be/" Loretta says glancing at Lorenzo who just shrugs his shoulders. I hate a weird feeling about his sudden change in his mood.
I wasn't the only one who noticed it either.
/"thank you it was a pleasure to meet you both/" I released my arms from her shoulders and stepped back.
She surprised me by pulling me back in and moving her head close to my ear.
/"put yourself first every time Kristina your fiancé can love his job but if he's going to have you too he needs to compromise /"she gives me one final look before placing a piece of paper in my top pocket. They waved me off as I pulled open the passenger door to a waiting Lorenzo.
/"what did my mother say to you/" he asks me as were driving along the road.
I turn to him, my fingers hovering over my phone as I see no messages from henry at all. Bloody typical.
/"some relationship advice /"I answer him bluntly. That's what you get for being blunt with me Mr racer.
/"she's good with that/" yeah, I gathered that she's probably best at it since her marriage is literally perfect.
/"I'm sorry about your parents Tina/" he suddenly says to me. I'm confused at the start but when I realise I told them when his father asked me I understood.
/"its fine, your parents are pretty amazing /"I say taking the attention of mine. I don't really like to talk about my parents mainly because it brings back memories and then I start to get emotional and cry.
Even though this is the last time I'll ever see Lorenzo I don't want to be an emotional mess before I go.
What a good lasting impression.
/"they're alright/" he lifts his mouth into a quick smile, I stare at him before looking away I wonder did he hear me say that earlier to his dad.
/"thanks for the ride, Lorenzo and thanks for saving me I guess/" I place my hand on the door ready to leave.
/"is it so hard for you to thank me Tina/" he says stopping me from leaving.
/"I'm sorry I've been ungrateful, and probably a bitch but I am thankful I don't know how I would have gotten home/" I wondered why he was looking at me with a hard gaze but the grip I had on his arm seemed to knock me out of my own daze.
/"anytime, Tina/" he smiles. I watch him stare me down, I felt awkward so I rushed out of his car before he could say anything else.
He didn't move until I got inside and I was moved that he would stay until I was safely inside. Or he was just having trouble starting up again.
Oh yeah Tina, the professional racer had trouble starting his car.
He could have, no need to rule that out yet.
I locked the door quickly, I knew I wouldn't be stepping out this building until at least tomorrow night. I have to post my blog and that would involve a lot of media transferring and coffee for the motivation.
I don't live with henry because I honestly still wanted to live on my own. After what Loretta said to me I was constantly thinking about what I would do. She's right he needs to compromise I can't marry someone who only cares about his job.
Henry would never have waited until I was inside, only if he got a call or something. Why was I young and bloody stupid to agree to his proposal.
We met at a tough time for me, my blog wasn't going anywhere and I was struggling for money. A man like henry made me feel safe financially and I trusted him.
Sometimes I think to myself, I don't always want to be safe you know I wanted something new and dangerous. My parents were adventurous they lived life like it would end the next day.
Why do I think of him when I say dangerous.
A chill runs through my body. I just assume that the night is making me feel this way. I should probably get out of these wet clothes.
Shower, movie and sleep.
