Chapter2

#Chapter2

Sonya

Sonya's father stopped the car and turned to Sonya.

/"Hey there, you ready for your new school?/" he asked.

/"Yes, dad. I am ready./" Her father smiled and turned to her mother /"Well then, let's go./"

Sonya's mom and dad went in with her daughter even though she told them earlier she can manage herself. As she started walking inside she saw guys and girls wandering around at any free space they could find, in their uniform.

Girls were all wearing brown skirts and white shirts and guys were wearing brown pants and white t-shirts. She was wearing the same uniform but was feeling a hell lot of discomfort among this crowd.

She, of course, couldn't find any familiar face. Sonya thought about how she's going to adjust here considering the fact that she's an introvert and usually ignore people because she is awkward at having small talks.

In her previous school she was comfortable with her personality and being an introvert. Everyone there came to understand that she liked to be left alone. They did not ask her any questions when she went to the library during lunch instead of cafeteria.

She usually got hungry but didn't like to eat alone. It's not that she can't but people around her look her with pity in their eyes.

And of course, it made her uncomfortable. But here, in this place it became a totally different story. Usually it took her one whole year to adjust to a new place but what is she going to do when she enters this place in sophomore year?

/"Sonya?/" her father calls her, /"What are you thinking?/"

/"Nothing/" Sonya replies.

/"You have your timetable?/" Sonya nods. /"Alright then go in. It's going to be eight am, your first class is going to start very soon./"

/"Alright./" Sonya replies. Sonya's father hugged her and her mother waved her goodbye. Ok God…… Stay with me. She looked down at her timetable and saw that history is in the first period. Room no. 20 A.

She looked up and entered her school. There was a board on a sidewall which says that she has to take the stairs and have to walk in the left-hand corridor and in the end she will find the room.

She does the same and reaches the room. She enters the room and finds that the room is already half filled with students. Sonya did not want to sit in front hence she went straight for the back benches.

She did not look up because she didn't want to attract attention. As she took a seat, a group of boys entered the room laughing their ass off.

Their voices roared around the room but no one seemed to give them attention. Sonya thought /"it must be the group she needs to stay away from./"

Their loud voices which she can describe as noises, must be common for this class. But her bad luck, those boys seems to come exactly in her direction.

Sonya was looking down when there came a tap on her shoulder. She looked up and saw a boy from that group looking down at her.

/"You are sitting on our desks./" Sonya looked at his group and said /"I don't see your name written on these seats./" Now when she looked around, the whole class was quiet and listening to their conversation.

There was pin drop silence in that whole damn classroom. A girl who was sitting just next to her said /"You are a new student, aye?/" Sonya replied with /"yes./" Shit! This is what she didn't want, this attention.

/"Listen, no one's name is written on their seats but these seats are fixed for us./" The girl next to her said it with disdain in her voice. Alright fine, whatever.

Sonya was just going to stand up when that guy who told about the seats said /"It's alright Jessica. We'll sit somewhere else./" The girl named Jessica raised her hand to protest but that guy put his hand on her shoulder and said /"Chill./"

He gave Sonya a look that she can't decipher and went in the middle row's back and sat down with his group. All class starts talking again but Sonya doubted they all were talking about her.

Offo! If she knew that it would create such a scene in front of the class she would have given her seat then and there. She was about to look at the group when the bell rang.
