Chapter 43 Next Selection

On our way to Balaraja Academy, we have to pass about 100 km of travel. So far we have passed the Adiyasa Forest which is about 20 km long. On our way through the Adiyasa Forest several times we met the Beast that was in there.

With Uncle Tom escorting our journey, our trip went smoothly because Uncle Tom is a Level 2 Warrior. He easily scares the Beasts inside Adiyasa Forest using his Aura, so we can avoid fighting the Beasts. When there was a Level 2 Beast, Uncle Tom decided to walk around the Beast, because Uncle Tom would find it difficult to fight against a Level 2 Beast while protecting us.

After leaving Adiyasa Forest we were in a green field like around the village, and this green field has a length of about 20 km from Adiyasa Forest to Balaraja Forest. And in this area there are no Level 2 Beasts that roam around, there are only Goat Beasts and Bull Beasts around here, so our journey has no obstacles with Uncle Tom, no Beast that dares to attack us.

After passing through the fields for 20 km, we arrived at the forest that surrounds Balaraja City, namely Balaraja Forest. This forest is about 30 km long, and Uncle Tom said that the path we are going to take this time is not a dangerous path, there are only Level 1 Beasts around this forest area and it is very rare to see Level 2 Beasts on this path.

We entered Balaraja Forest, in this forest we met more Beasts than when we were in Adiyasa Forest, it seems that the Beast population in this forest is more than in Adiyasa Forest. The beasts here have all types of beasts in Adiyasa Forest, but only up to Level 1, there are some beasts that I have never read in the books in my uncle's shop. 'I will find out when I enter the academy' I also said in my heart.

After we walked 10 km in this forest, Uncle Tom stopped and we stopped too because Uncle Tom stopped. "All right, before we continue our journey to Balaraja Academy. We will start the next selection here, you should use your armor and weapons here" Uncle Tom started talking about the next selection and asked us to use our armor and weapons now.

Gulp! I'm starting to get nervous about what the next selection will be. "So what should we do uncle?" I also asked uncle Tom what kind of selection we would go through while wearing my armor and weapons.

"Hehe, take it easy this selection is not too difficult for you" uncle Tom started smiling at me. "Can you all see the building from here?" Uncle Tom began to point at the towering buildings that were visible to us from here and the four of us nodded our heads.

"All you need to do is head to where the building is, you may use any way to get to the building" then he said that we just need to reach the place. The four of us looked at each other and felt that this wouldn't be too difficult.

"But you have to get there before midnight and of course, I don't accompany you when you go to that place. I will wait for you at the city gate, so what happens to you in this place I will not care and will not help you at all" then uncle Tom told us what we should do. He started to leave by running fast towards the building, so we didn't have time to follow him.

Swosh!

"He's fast, Warrior Level 2 is different from Warrior Level 1" I also said to the others. "So all we have to do is get to the building before midnight, right?" I looked at the other three people and the other three people nodded their heads as well.

"Then this will be easy" I sighed. Not long after I heard the sound of something approaching quickly, Swosh... I took out my sword and used my Aura.

"Wait, sorry I forgot to tell you, only the first two people who first get to where I am will enter the academy, so the other two of you will fail and return to your village without me accompanying" Uncle Tom came back to tell us that only two people would be accepted, and the rest would return to the village on their own without being escorted again. After that, he left again quickly.

"What? Only two of us will enter the academy?" I looked at the other three people and they were looking at me. "Hah... then we can't go as a group huh? All right, bye" Nanda immediately ran towards the building quickly.

"Then, sorry Frank, Gray I have to go first, goodbye and see you later" I ran towards the building quickly leaving Frank and Gray standing there silently. "Hey Frank, how do we both get into the academy at this rate?" Gray also asked Frank who was next to him.

"You think I know? Our opponents are two Warriors, they will get there faster, their speed is no match for us" Frank held his head confused. "Then what should we do? We can't possibly return to the village after spending 36,000 Dollars right?" Gray talks to Frank about the money they paid to get into the academy.

"It can't be helped, the two of us can only try, hopefully, we can still enter the academy or can stay in the city temporarily. Instead of staying silent in this forest filled with beasts" Frank started running towards the building followed by Grey.

'Hmm... it's getting late now, I think I only have a few hours left before midnight' I ran while thinking about the time I have before midnight. luckily my Agi stat is high enough that I can run 1 km in 2 minutes without using my Skill and Aura.

'The problem is I don't know the distance between this place and that building' if I only knew the distance I would be able to use my skills to accelerate my speed to get there.

If I use my Skills and Aura, my movement will be faster but it will drain my energy. Since only two people will enter the academy, I think me and Nanda will make it, since Frank and Gray are not Warriors yet and their stamina and speed can't be compared to either of us.

"Then why did Uncle Tom bring them both here if only 2 people will enter the academy? Nanda and I should be enough because we are both Warriors, so they both don't need to spend that much money in vain" I ran while thinking why Uncle Tom brought Frank and Gray if only two people would be accepted.

"Huh... it's really unfortunate for those two kids, they have to compete with 2 Warriors their age. And what was really unbelievable was that such a small village had 2 people who had become warriors under the age of 15. But rules are still rules I have to follow them" Uncle Tom who was already in front of the village gate sighed because usually there would be competition for two spots in the academy. But this time the two people would only waste their money and effort in vain because their opponents were two people who had already become Warriors.

Then he looked at Balaraja Forest with pitying eyes.
